BPN Rules


Note: Violation of these rules WILL get you kicked or banned, with or without warning.

BPN Community Acceptance:

The minimum age requirement to join the BPN community is 18 years old, however we do have a BPN Junior Division that is seperate from regular BPN and young people that are ages 13-17 can join there. EVERYONE no matter what age is welcome to play on our servers. If you meet the requirements and would like to join, please complete an application.

BPN Community applicants must read the rules, terms of usage, and privacy policy of BPN before submitting a BPN application for acceptance. If application is accepted, there will be a 30 day evaluation period before full fledged membership is voted on and granted. You will carry the 'recruit' tag for 30 days. [BPNr]

General Behavior:

BPN Community Members, Recruits and Admins are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means: no inappropriate sprays, pics, logos, comments, forums threads, conversation, music, nicknames, usernames or anything of the sort. 'Inappropriate' material can refer to text, verbal, music and pictures:

Some examples of 'inappropriate' are: inappropriate sexual remarks, argumentative remarks, teasing someone due to a handicap, curse words, general harassing remarks, pics/sprays of illegal items, pics/sprays of revealing clothing (male or female), pornography of any kind or other material that someone might take offense to.

You can NOT be in another First Person Shooter (FPS) community while in BPN. This includes FPS games that [BPN] does not participate in. We have this rule to promote participation within our community and to get to know everyone better, your time and commitments are with us or somebody else but not both.

This is a non-exhaustive list and is only meant to give the members an idea of what's NOT accepted here. The admins reserve the right to determine what is 'inappropriate' at the time of the incident. If you have a suggestion, comment, or a grievance you may email it to any of the admins and it will be addressed and handled in a respectful, professional manner. These rules ARE FAR FROM UNREASONABLE. Just be respectful in the material that you post, say and type...

If you have questions about what might or might not be inappropriate, email one of the admins and we'll take a look for you.

We run a 'clean' community and prefer to game instead of listen, read or view such material.

Rules on TeamSpeak Server:

1. No inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
2. No inappropriate language, music or text is allowed
3. Be respectful
4. Use of the 'push to talk' option is required.
5. Go into the "AFK-MIA" channel when you are going to be away from your computer.
6. Do not solicit your password, or BPN password out to unauthorized users.
7. Do not spam the mic in TeamSpeak unless you are in the "Music Channel".
8. Do not spam the chat channels/boxes in TeamSpeak
9. The TeamSpeak server is for BPN Community use ONLY, however, guests can submit a request form to have access.
10. Do not upload inappropriate content to the TeamSpeak File Transfer system.

Rules on the forums:

1. No Objectionable Content
1.1 Do not post or link to pornographic or related material.
1.2 No swearing of any kind.
1.3 Do not post, link to, or discuss stolen/pirated software.

2. Be Respectful
2.1 Do not flame each other.
2.2 No posting "your mom" jokes.
2.3 Do not call things "gay" or use other homophobic or discriminatory language.
2.4 Do not openly argue with anyone. If you have a problem with someone, PM him or her directly.
2.5 Do not attack another member by rude or unnecessary remarks, or name-calling.
2.6 Debates between issues are fine but do not attack another member directly. And when the debate has concluded; agree to disagree.
2.7 Do not attack someone personally by PM (Private Message).

3. Do Not Spam the Forum
3.1 Spamming such as posting an excessive amount of one word is not acceptable.
3.2 Posting only 1-3 words that do not add anything to the thread, and posting completely useless threads that have no meaning to them is spam also.
3.3 Use the appropriate forums for what you're posting.

4. Leetspeak
4.1 This is a forum, not Steam chat or AIM. U dnt nede 2 tak lik tis 2 get ur pnt acrozz. Typing in such a way is not proper grammar or even English and it's also very difficult to read. Take your time and type things out clearly.

5. Forum Administrators and Moderators
5.1 When an Admin or Mod is to step in on a situation you are to respect them. Not to put them higher than other members, but the Admins/Mods have been put in place by the leaders to keep the forum in order.
5.2 If you feel you've been wrongly accused, either contact the Admin/Mod directly, or if you feel it necessary, take it to a Senior or Master Admin.

Rules on Call of Duty Servers:

1. NO CHEATING OF ANY KIND. This includes but is not limited to wall hacks, aim bots (including auto aim), speed hacks, recoil scripts, spin bots, and any scripts or macros.
2. No inappropriate behavior or language will be tolerated at all.
3. No noob tubes (rifle grenades)
4. No purposeful team killing.
5. No excessive camping when you have an objective to complete.
6. No outside recruiting or advertisements are allowed.
7. Using the care package canister glitch is not allowed. (Glitch in Modern Warfare 2 allowing one to hold the care package canister in their hands allowing them to run faster in a hunched over position allowing them to gain advantages in knifing)

Rules on Counter Strike Source Servers:

1. NO CHEATING OF ANY KIND. This includes but is not limited to wall hacks, aim bots (including auto aim), speed hacks, recoil scripts, spin bots, and illegal buy scripts (eg. more than (1) HE Grenade)
2. No inappropriate behavior or language will be tolerated at all.
3. No inappropriate game tags or sprays are allowed.
4. No purposeful team killing.
5. No excessive camping when you have an objective to complete.
6. No outside recruiting or advertisements are allowed.

Contributions & Admin Rights:

The minimum contribution for the community is $10 per person per month or $25 for 3 months. This is only a contribution and by no means are we mandating that every BPN Community member contribute. However, without adequate funds, the assets of the BPN Community cannot be sustained. Remember, if you wish you can use the 'BPN Bux' referral program to subsidize your contributions. Also, if you contribute on a regular basis, AND you wish to become an admin, you can submit the 'Admin Application' and you will be considered. If granted, 'Junior Admin' rights (to start with), will be issued on the appropriate servers. Recruits will not be considered for admin rights until after their 30 day trial has finished and they are voted to full BPN members.

Admins will receive a reserved slot on the appropriate servers and a BulletProof Nerds email address if you wish. You will also be authorized to attend our weekly BPN Admin meeting and submit any input regarding BPN community decisions. All decisions are based on a vote, however the BPN Community leader (Schlup) can overturn any such decisions if deemed appropriate or for the betterment of the community. You should also know that regardless of contributions, if you are found in violation of our rules your Admin rights may be revoked.

Fees will be submitted through the Chip In module service that we offer on the front page of the website. It should be noted that all monies received are for our monthly recurring charges which include but are not limited to our dedicated game server, dedicated web server, hosting & datacenter fees, domain name fees & TeamSpeak fees only. Any overages received will be applied to the BPN donations account for the next month of service. No personal gain or dishonest behavior will ever be practiced here.

Administrative rights are granted based on discretion, not solely on contributions.

Process for applying for admin rights:
1. Complete the admin application
2. Wait for admin approval
3. If/When admins approve your application
4. Submit donation
5. After donation, Admins will grant appropriate access

Guidelines for [BPNj] Junior Division Recruits & Members:

1. ALL Server and BPN community rules apply as well as the below rules.
2. The recruit tag is to look like this: [BPNj] No other variation is accepted.
3. Do not mic spam (constantly talking or broadcasting sound in game or TeamSpeak)
4. ALL BPN Junior Division personel MUST stay in the BPN JUNIOR DIVISION channel when on TeamSpeak (Do NOT enter any other channel). To do so double click on the channel name.
5. No offensive jokes. i.e. mom jokes, anything about the persons game play, personality, or handicaps.
6. There is an evaluation period of 30 days before becoming a full BPN Junior member. After 30 days it will be decided if you are to become a full member. If you are accepted after the vote, you will receive an acceptance email.
7. Though you are a recruit, we encourage you to fully participate and learn with us. You are a recruit because we want you here and we think you could be a good addition to the BPN Community.

Guidelines for [BPNr] Recruits:

1. The recruit tag is to look like this: [BPNr] No other variation is accepted.
2. There is an evaluation period of 30 days before becoming a full member. After 30 days it will be decided if you are to become a full member. If you are accepted after the vote, you will receive an acceptance email.
3. Though you are a recruit, we encourage you to fully participate and learn with us. You are a recruit because we want you here and we think you could be a good addition to the BPN Community.
4. If you don't participate or aren't active and haven't given the admins a good excuse then you won't be accepted as a BPN member, simple as that.

Guidelines for [BPN] Members:

1. The [BPN] tag prefix is to look like this: [BPN] No other variation is accepted.
2. You are expected to enforce our rules within the game servers, TeamSpeak, forums, and the website whether an admin or not. If you have issues with an individual recruit, member or guest then ask an admin to intervene.
3. If you are having difficulty with another BPN member, please attempt to work it out. DO NOT disrupt game play with the dispute.
4. If your dispute with the other member is not resolved, you are to email an Admin and they will assist in resolving the matter.
5. If you see, have or notice problems or technical difficulties with the server, please let an Admin know via TeamSpeak, email or PM.
6. If you have continual problems with a player on the server violating the rules, please let an Admin know (one is typically always available via TeamSpeak, Steam messenger and email) so the situation can be contained.
7. If a BPN member would like to change his BPN Community name or use another account, please let Admins know and get approval first. This will help stop impersonation.
8. You are absolutely NOT permitted to advertise or recruit for another gaming community or clan other than the BulletProof Nerds Gaming Community while using ANY BPN resources or while carrying a [BPN], [BPNr], or [BPNj] tag. Violation of this rule will get you banned immediately from all BPN assets.
9. While we encourage you to use BPN resources, if you are online on another public or community server or resources, we expect you to follow all of our rules as well as their rules while wearing the [BPN], [BPNr], or [BPNj] tag.
10. BPN Community members are expected to protect our resources. Soliciting any BPN passwords without admin approval is grounds for immediate dismissal from the community.
11. Remember, it’s your BPN Community. Be proud of it and represent it well and have FUN.

Guidelines for [BPN] Admins:

1. ALL above rules apply and you must be at least 18 years old.
2. To be an admin a minimum donation of $10 a month / $25 for three months toward the BPN Community is required.
3. Schlup must give final approval for all admin rights on any BPN community resources.
4. Before kicking a player, you should warn them of the rule they are violating.
5. If necessary, have another BPN Community admin or member reiterate the warning.
6. Two kicks then a ban is server policy for disruptive players. Please use discretion and your best judgment when banning. The exception to this rule is for people hacking on the server, these people will not be warned or kicked, they are be permabanned immediately. Please be 100% sure they are hacking before you ban someone for it. Record a demo as proof if necessary or have another admin have a look if you are unsure.
7. Any admin rights can be revoked if abused, regardless of contribution to BPN Community. This includes your admin rights on all servers and TeamSpeak.
