So as of 3 days ago there were over 2.2 MILLION preorders for MW2 in North America alone, that's also only for Xbox 360 and PS3 and does not take into account PC. If I had to guess current numbers of preorders worldwide for all platforms I would say it's around the 5 million mark and will rise to about 7.5 million before the release of the game. After some quick math that equals $450 MILLION dollars in revenue, at launch! Guess now's the time to buy stock in Activision! It's listed in the NASDAQ under ATVI and is currently trading at $12.71. Now we'll come back to this thread after game launch and mark my words, stock will be over $15.00 a share.

I used to have ATVI. I bought it for around $7/share, it split and then I sold it at about $15/share. I turned a good profit in a little over a year or two. ORB did well for me as well, but I got a bit murdered by FVE, PDC, and Grill's favorite ERTS.
Still kicking myself for not buying gamestop at $15/share and google at under $200/share both about 5 years ago. If you want stock in video games, I think Gamestop is where you put your money.

The GameStop that me and my friend are going to at the midnight release had already over 315 pre-orders. So yea it is going to be insane. I don't want GameStop to get bought out by BestBuy since GameStop already Bought out EB Games. But also BestBuy sucks at selling games. They don't have the choice selection of Gamestop and Not one of their employees knows 1/4 of the things that GameStop employees know.

Well I'll probably pick up the game at midnight, then install it and then start uploading it to the game server while I play a little bit of single player. Don't know yet if I am going to take that next day off yet.

well I will probably be playing multiplayer till 9am then probably do single player when I get back to my house. Probably watch my friend play the single player on the ps3

Well it's really getting insane now! I was at the gas station today filling up the tank and I noticed a poster on the window of the gas station which was called Kum & Go...they are selling pre-orders for Modern Warfare 2. You know when gas stations start selling stuff that it's gonna be pretty huge...they don't even sell games or anything, just this one...LOL.
In other news it seems like the PC community is starting to get a little upset that more questions aren't getting answered about MW2 for the PC version. Hopefully this will spur some PC version stuff to start happening.

So yeah I am going to GameStop today to find out if they are or are not putting the Harden for the Vetern Edition. If they are I will put some money down on it. So I will tell when I get a chance.

Oh just for everyone to know I just got back from gamestop (no it wasn't to cancel my pre-order) I had asked the people if they have had any cancelations of the game and they said no. Also they told me in Gamestops alone the pre-orders are at 1.7 million copies. Then with everyone selling it is at 2.5 million and still climbing. Oh and I just renewed my GameInformer to find out that they are going to have a new look and new site starting nov. 1. That is all I had to say.
