(I submitted the below on Infinity Ward's forums to try and get a push into the mass media, I have already submitted to USA Today)

Hello everyone, I'm sure all of you are as disappointed as I am when we found out that Infinity Ward/Activision decided to eliminate the option for dedicated servers in Modern Warfare 2.  However, I don't think that the news is reaching the mass public at this point.  We as a PC Gaming Community need to submit the news to MAJOR NEWS NETWORKS.  MTV has already picked up the story http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/10/19/lack-of-modern-warfare-2-servers-for-pc-multiplayer-mode-sparks-petition/
but we need for some larger news outlets to pick it up to really let the masses know.  Some suggestions include:
USA Today = http://www.usatoday.com/
New York Times = http://www.nytimes.com/
CNN = http://www.cnn.com/
ABC News = http://abcnews.go.com/
Fox News = http://www.foxnews.com/
MSNBC = http://www.msnbc.msn.com/
Google News = http://news.google.com/
Yahoo News = http://news.yahoo.com/
CNET News = http://news.cnet.com/
CBS News = http://www.cbsnews.com/
ESPN = http://espn.go.com/

The community need to go on these sites, find out how to submit news and submit it, if we do this in droves then they will surely do a story and the masses can be made aware of these injustices.

Thanks Everybody,
Schlup

Thanks for fighting, keep us updated on how this goes.  Couple articles being linked on google news.  My favorite "Infinity Ward says 'f**k you!' to PC gamers"

Yeah that's true, submitting anything that has bad language or grammer in it is basically a waste of time for yourself.

Yes I agree with you.  I didn't post that one.  But when I went to google news to see if they had picked anything up yet that article was at the top.

Hey guys read this. it is from RodeoBob founder of PBbans.com on the mtv forum post regarding dedicated servers. read below

From the day that humans first walked on this planet we were always educated by our mistakes or those of others. Over the past 20 years, many software developers have tested the waters to create new ways to entertain the faithful PC gamer. While many have succeeded....sadly others make some poor judgment calls. The recent interview with IW's Robert Bolling and the subsequent responses from all of PC gamers shows just how bad of a mistake IW has made. I am one of the Staff at PBBans we have been flooded with comments of frustration from gamers. PBBans was looking forward to PunkBuster support being added to MW2. Since the interview with IW was released, I have ceased all plans to purchase the PC and XBox360 versions of MW2. It is very clear that IW does not listen too nor care about the thoughts of the PC gamer. The almighty $$$ is clogging their ears and blinding them! Thanks but NO THANKS IW! Can IW's act of no dedicated servers be labeled as discrimination? Think about it...

that would be a stretch
 and because it is a product that people buy
they are not discriminating against anyone
it would be a choice to buy it.
