Hello people, I've been running IE for about as long as I can remember, most recently IE7 and then on to IE8 since the beta was released.  However, I've been running Chrome as a secondary browser for a little while as well and use Firefox maybe once every 3 months or so.  I'm kinda thinking about switching my primary browser choice to Google Chrome, it's super fast and works pretty well.  I also like the features, takes the good from Firefox and the good from IE and puts them together.  It's also very lightweight and gives me more viewable space for pages instead of extra browser "junk".  Just wanted to find out what everybody else was using and why they use it.

The more and more I use Chrome I think I am going to switch to it, I have now been able to watch YouTube videos in HD without any stoppage or pausing to buffer, it just all plays right along, same thing with Hulu, can stream in HD without any buffering, in all of them they have started playing instantly as well!  I'm loving the SPEED!

I use Microsoft IE7 most of the time and use chrome as for my searches
In the poll your should be able to vote for more than one
especially being that IE comes stock with most OS

You are right, but I'm wanting to find out what what browser people are using primarily, I mean the majority of the time people have one browser that they use more than any other, and that is what I want to know.  I have edited the question to reflect that.

i havent used IE for years, i always disliked it.  I tried Chrome when it was released, i wasnt a big fan of how simplified the interface was and didnt like navigating with it.  Im also not a big fan of how each tab is a different process.  So for me, firefox all the way.  Fast, featured, and secure.  cant ask for more than that.

also forgot to mention, firefox's download manager > chrome.  Last i remember, chrome made a little tab at the bottom of the window for downloads that would stop if your tab closed and they didnt show the dl speed.  Did that change or is there an option to modify it?

And I counter with, great article showing how great Chrome is on the first article even though they are both out of date now, Chrome 4.0 has been out for a little bit now with vast improvements, I would encourage you to take another look.  As far as the download manager is concerned IDK, I'd assume the fixed it since two versions ago, but I use FreeDownloadManager.org which actually speeds downloads up immensely and allows you to always download at your full download speed as it makes multiple connections to the download and downloads multiple pieces at once, doing what a real download manager SHOULD do.

Yeah, isn't it nice to finally be able to download the way you are supposed to!  I actually just have it start up with Windows and then just browse like normal, when I click on a link to download the software pops up and takes care of everything else!

Chrome here.  Firefox was hogging too many resources, and IE constantly crashes on me.  No problems with chrome, and I like the minimalist look.

Have you tried the newest beta?  It has speeded up quite a bit!  Here's a link to it...

Hey all you can do is try...I'm not trying to push anybody to anything.  I simply found a better solution for myself and started using it as a primary.  It takes a LOT for me to change so you know it's got to be pretty good.
