JK. I didn't see it either, but after I read the comments, I saw where to look.
Tessellation is an awesome effect I can't wait to see with my own eyes. It will make games look even more real. Where do you look for Tessellation? Textures. On the left video, look closely at the rocks that make up the streets, the rock walls, and the tiles on the roofs. They do look pretty good, but they are flat. They have no depth. Now, time to be amazed. The video on the right has Tessellation on, which is a feature of DX11, look closely at the rocks that make up the streets, the rock walls, and the tiles on the roofs now. Amazing! They have depth, they are no longer one flat surface, but now they are their own object. Pause the video at 2:47 seconds. See the difference? The pipe on the left is smooth, however, the pipe on the right, you can see each little ring pop out. It is truly amazing! Games of the future will be stunning!
