This would be for Schlup I guess - I noticed every time I log in, at the main web page, for whatever reason the first attempt fails EVERY time.  Basically I enter my credentials, press log in and the page reloads and I am not logged in...no message or anything either but it appears to be a wrong ID or PW.  Is it just me?  Seems odd but it happens every time and I'm not sure why.

cheers

I think I figured it out - looks like maybe I wasn't logging out properly.  Schlup, do you happen to know how long the web server will let you stay logged in without an active port open? I would think only maybe an hour.

Yeah, since we are running a separate forums system with a single sign on module I think that causes it to make you have to login 2-3 times in a row sometimes to get everything synced right.  I'm not sure about how long, it's a pretty good time frame though, I never get to see it because I am constantly logging in from different computers and different browsers.  I wish there was some way to fix it but I haven't come across one and I'd hate to hose it up my tinkering around with stuff I don't know about.  Anyways, I think it's a small price to pay to have the SMF forums which is a MUCH better forum system than what came standard.  Plus everything is always synced between the two making it seamless and so you don't have to put in two different signatures, etc.

Okay - at least I know now it isn't just me.  I can live with it.  Thanks Schlup  Smiley

No problem, thank you for the report as well.  Sometimes I don't see all the bugs myself and I might overlook them, so anything that anybody finds like this please do exactly what cygnus did!
