Backing up your profile is easy! Simply go to this directory: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2, and copy the "players" folder. This folder contains all your Single Player and Spec-Ops information! Don't restart MW2 all over again!

Please note: Steam saves all of your Multiplayer stats for you. Once you reinstall Modern Warfare 2 and play Multiplayer, your account will be downloaded from the Steam Cloud.
