So I'm thinking about buying a new paintball gun, anybody have any recommendations.  I thought the below one would work pretty well for me.

LOL!  I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that!  You'd be a one-man recking machine carrying that around!   Cheesy

Depending on the style of play you do i recomend tippmann. I've used their guns starting with the carbime pro up to my X7 right now. They are very relible guns and, if like me, can do some seriouse mods and mil-sim looks. Had an A-5 that looked like and MP5 silenced and currently have an X7 with an M4 look and a WAS electric board, 30BPS F-YA, and soon to have a M203 grenade launcher on it.

I'm thinking about an Angel or maybe an Autococker...I had a M3 Dragun Sniper Edition marker (or rather still have it) but the company that made it went out of business and it's not working quite right now.

I thought the gun was a joke!  You are telling me that such a paintball gun does in fact exist?  Amazing!  I played paintball once here, many years ago.  It was a blast for sure but would have been much better with some organization as all of us were noobs and half our Team did not understand the logic behind "covering fire" when attempting to take a position.  I remember it was cold, late fall and the paintballs were just bouncing off more or less because they were nearly frozen...ouch!  Every one left a red welt on my skin.

Oh yeah, that gun is real.  The problem with it is that since there is no stationary barrel there is no where for me to mount the m203 grenade launcher that shoots paintball grenades (very helpful).  So I'd have to just about carry 2-3 cases of paint in a backpack hopper if I got the "mini gun" and would have no nade launcher.  Though I could still throw them that would require me to put down the gun since it is a two hander.  Really it wouldn't make sense so I would just have to take nades out of my gameplay.

Maybe a large elastic band (pr old bra) on the end of the barrel would work  Wink  You know, sort of like a slinghot!  LOL

But the barrel rotates so fast I'm sure it would get tangled and knotted in no time and would cause issues with the gun...

I have been out of the game for 8 years  but I loved my Tippmann with responce trigger and flatline sniper barrel. I was going to get an Angel or an Autococker from WGP with the E-Blade myself. Both nice markers.

Yeah, Tippmann makes a good gun, fairly dependable, they hardly ever mess up which is good.  But they aren't top of the line either and are lacking in many of the newer features such as speed, sound, and technological advancements they've made over the years.

The point of miniguns is multiple firing barrels to keep 1 barrel from overheating, so a minigun for paintballs sounds really pointless, other than to look "censored" Tongue

Most of my friends had Tippmanns (A5's and 98 customs) when we used to play, and i think i was the only one with a different brand.  I always compare tippmanns to an AK 47,  super durable and effective, but crude and conformed.  I saw a guy trip running down a hill and toss his 98 custom down about 5 feet into a rocky creek, pick the gun up, and start shooting again.
I myself own Spyder Imagine Led.  Its very customizable/upgradeable, shoots very consistently, and is very efficient with air.  It shoots up to 13bps in semi,3 & 6 round burst, and full auto.  Downside is you need to keep a 9V battery on hand incase the gun loses its charge. Theres a low battery light though, so you wont be stranded in the middle of a round >.<

If i were to ever get back into paintballing and had more money, i would get either an Angel or a Smart Parts impulse

Ok, so I don't know much about it but I had a friend of a friend offer to sell me his paintball gear.  This gear includes a 2001 autococker and (3) different Spyders.  I don't know anymore than that, I'm assuming there are also hoppers, air tanks, masks, etc.  He wants to sell all of this for $100, he said he has never used the autococker but that he bought it used from some guy several years ago for $300.  How good of a deal do you think this is?  Assuming the guns fire fine (I'll bring a tank and hopper to test them)...

Oh, finally somebody answers my question.  So you think this would be a good deal?
