More than likely it is meant to be used as a hybrid crossfire set-up. You would need to have a MB that supports that with an onboard graphics card on the MB.

You'd be better off buying one card that is twice as good...I learned my lesson with the SLI/Crossfire stuff.  You don't get double the performance but you do get double the heat.  The only reason I would buy SLI now is if Monkey_grill bought the same card as me...since I vowed to always have a better computer than him.

Edit: Get this one, same price as what you were looking at but more than twice the power of it which means it will run better than if you had gotten Crossfire setup.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125253

...unless you want to really do it right and get a great card...this one will have more than 4x the power of the card I listed before (though it is 3x the price)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102868
but if you get the Vapor-X don't mess with the cooling, nothing you can do with water will cool as well as the Vapor-X system.

How is this one cross fire? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125253   besides hybrid i dident see a crossfire bridge and the heat for 2 cards wouldent be a deal cause i would water cool them and put a pcie fan in the middle of them prob 2 get the heat out

You'll need to select an ATI card since that is what is compatible with your motherboard.  I'm saying go with 1 better card, you'll get more power/performance out of it than your Crossfire setup.

Going over your budget is worth it for that! the 9800gtx/250 's are great cards!

Yeah but there are many many better cards on the market now...those cards are just about entry/mid level now.  I'd wait until the Fermi's are released and the price comes down on all the earlier cards.

Ok, I'm going to be blunt with you.  You can either get a crappy video card and water cool it for no reason...OR...you can get a decent video card and let it cool as it was intended and designed to cool with the stock setup.

If you decide to get a crappy video card and water cool it here is a universal GPU water block
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108095
For the video card you can go to Wal-Mart and get anything they have on the shelf that you still have enough money to buy.

I've already made recommendations to you (several actually) on what card you can get and how it will run compared to others.  So here's what you need to decide, do you want your computer to just look cool or do you want it to perform good?  Because you can't really afford to do either one with your budget and definitely not both.

In any case your not having to worry about it in the future is simply not going to be an option for you.  You can spend $600 on the best card made right now and you'll still have to worry about it in the future, granted the future will be farther out than with a low end card.  That's the way of the electronics world, everything just keeps getting better.  That's how they make money.

Once again, this is the card you should get.  Don't listen to Fallen, he's incorrect in his statement about "128 bit cache speed", it has nothing to do with that, it's the memory interface, you can think of it as lanes on a highway.  However, you also need to think about memory type more than anything.  The memory type on the card I suggested is GDDR5 and the memory type on the card he suggested is GDDR2 which is much slower.  The ATI card is your better bang for the buck and will out perform an equally priced nVidia card which would be the GTS 250 which is still a higher price.

First of all, either learn how to spell or use the spell check feature in the forums.  Secondly, there are pics of my PC in the forums, if you look around a bit you can find them.
