The CPU im getting is

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W

im looking for the best motherboard for performace and Overclocking Under 185 bucks

Is there a big different between ddr2 and ddr3 dual channel? if so what motherboard/ddr3 ram combo will make the best performance? i dont want to spend more then 150 for ram and i  need at least 4gb of it. imma keep searching so any input or ideas Smiley thanks guys

Ive had a lot of success overclocking with my cpu mobo and ram, so of course i would recommend it to others! Azn

mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131402&cm_re=ASUS_M4A79XTD-_-13-131-402-_-Product
ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227356  (that specific model seems to be discontinued, but other high performance OCZ ram is going to be similar)

With my amd x3 720, ive managed to go from 2.8ghz to 3.7ghz rather easily, and that ram is overclocked from ddr1333 to ddr2120. For the price that motherboard is a great overclocker, and as for memory, i prefer OCZ but ive also been successful with crucial ram.

ya that ram looks solid.  OCZ is great because you can run the ram at higher voltages up to a certain point without voiding warranty, which is great for overclockers!
