Blizzard expects the third expansion pack for its massively multiplayer sensation World of Warcraft to arrive in the "back half of 2010," according to CEO Mike Morhaime.  Speaking to investors during an Activision Blizzard conference call, Morhaime added that the game has a "global subscribership of approximately 11.5M subscribers."

With the StarCraft II beta launching this month and the final game expected in mid-2010, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm marks Blizzard's second high-profile release of the year, with Morhaime boasting that "2010 [is] shaping up as biggest in Blizzard history" as it's the "1st time in 12 years with 2 major products expect in the same calendar year."

There's going to be another major content patch before Cataclysm comes out.

Looks like Blizzard is trying to keep players interested til the next expansion arrives.

Guard: Surrender, Assassin, and I promise you a quick and easy death.
Assassin: I could promise you the same, but it would be a lie.

I don't think they have to even try to keep players hooked...  WoW is a drug.

There will be no release date for Cataclysm untill a Star Wars date is posted, Blizz will more than likely release around the same time just as they did with Conan and Warhammer/Crusade, Lick King.

I'd have to agree with you Neli, though if the publisher for Star Wars pushes the release date back, I think Blizzard would just release Cataclysm.  Hopefully those of us who play WoW won't have to wait too long in the last half of the year for it to come out.

The guild is currently on the Durotan server/realm.  There's only about 8 people in the guild right now, about 2 toons per person.  We're pretty much having to build it back up from scratch.

I transferred my only 80 and another of my higher level toons over to help with gold and materials, but I am by no means the recruiting type.
