It is surfing at Maveric's
one of the top spots in the world.
they only hold it once a year waves permitting LOL
25 of the worlds best are invited with a record pot of 150,000
50,000 to 1st place winner and the rest divided to the next 12 i do believe

Chris Bertish of South Africa won the Mavericks, one of surfing's most storied competitions, in a contest overshadowed by 13 spectator injuries when strong waves washed over a seawall on the beach Saturday.
