Well I too am rooting for the Steelers, since my beloved Rams are not taking part in the post season. Plus one of my best friends is a huge Steelers fan so I figured I might as well root for a team that will make someone I know happy. And now I know that you and Sir are also Steelers fans...so there ya go!

Yeh ok that is why in the past three years they gotten better. what was it they wen't from a 4-12 to a 8-8 then to a 10-6 making the playoffs then 13-3 HMMM. I think Tennessee will be 16-0 or 15-1 next year and the lose deffintly won't be by the towel team that thinks it scares other teams.LOL.

Mighty big presumption considering the season has not even started yet and their past history of winning in the playoffs, Oh wait they never have won in the playoffs since being in Tenn. have they? Or at least not this year. They had better luck in Huston

They DO have a pretty weak schedule next year...as opposed to the Steelers' schedule this year. I think it's reasonable to think they will at least make the play offs next year. However, I figure they'll be playing with a different starting QB, so all bets are off.

Ok here I go Sir- Tennessee has won playoffs since they moved shall I recall the superbowl they went to as TITANS. and no they did not have better luck when in houston as the oilers. All I know is watch out for the Smash Dash combo and the defense being #1.
Destro-Pittsburgh Steelers Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
Tennessee Titans Home: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams Away: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks
Umm looks like the steelers have it better then the Titans next season. By the way their Starting QB as for next year will be Collins if he gets resigned which probably will happen. So in the draft I think Tennessee is going to try to get more WR's Hopefully or pick up some Free Agents

I said the Titan's schedule next year is easier than the Steelers' schedule THIS year. Reading is fundamental. The Steelers' opponents' have a collective record of 133-120-2 this year, and the Titan's openents' collective record was 117-138-1. I don't think the Steelers need to watch out for the Smash and Dash combo since the Panthers aren't on their schedule for another year. As far as the D being #1, you are dreaming. The D is good and #92 is solid, but they've got a long way to go to be competitive against Pgh and Baltimore. Tenn finished as the #7 D this year, and the only good offenses they faced were Pgh and Indy.

Excuse me Tennesse Has The Smash and Dash Not the Panthers. Lendale White and Chris Johnson. Reading is fundimental cause they call they dou in Carolina something else. Ok and for the schedule part why the hell did you put NEXT YEARS on it, wow that really made sense. Also Just because Tennesse's D overall was ranked seventh, doesn't matter look at the key points one of them being points per game and where was the Titans right behind Pittsburgh.

My point was that Tenn might have a chance next year based on their schedule. Sorry if that was over your head.
You're reaching on the D part. You're ranked by overall Defense. Looking at the teams they played, they SHOULD have good numbers.
If they don't call the duo in Caarolina Smash and Dash, what do they call it? I'm not talking about "Identity and Theft" as Lendale Whine calls it.

If you pay'd any attention they called Lendale and Chris Smash and Dash well before carolina step up. so they (carolina whole team including staff) had a vote and said it is Razzel and Dazzel. And here is the article http://www.titansonline.com/news/titans_news_detail.php?PRKey=6424. Also It's any given sunday it don't matter if you play the Lions or not all it is is who plays every play with 100% and who doesn't. Look at the Giants took on the Pats in the Superbowl and won because the pats didn't play hard. Then look what happens the Giant's who everyone said would go to the bowl Lost to the eagles. And what the hell is the Identity and Theft thing he never called themselves that. Besides Pittsburgh might not make it next year even though their schedule seems easy. Also what is the #1 thing a defense plays for... TO STOP THE OTHER TEAM FROM SCORING. you Could give up 300 yrds per game yet give no points up. So it doesn't matter if ya can hold a team to less then 100 yrds passing or rushing a game all that matters is how many Point's are you willing to give up. I played in football, I grew up with football, and I know that how many points you give up matters more then how many yrds you hold a team to. So if you wanna look at the schedules for this year of pittsburgh compared to next season of Tennessee and think it is easier you might wanna think that agian. Home-Texans W, Ravens W, Giants L, Colts L, Charger W, Bengals W, Cowboys W, Browns W Away-Browns W, Eagles L, Jaguars W, Bengals W, Redskins W, Patriots W, Ravens W, Titans L that is what the Steelers had to play this year oh wait lets look at all the teams that where failures. Texan are always an easy win, Colts couldn't keep anything together but won, chargers give me a break, bengals another laughing moment, CRYBABY's come on realy with all the stuff happening, browns before they temporaily left they were feared but now they suck, Jaguars ok that would be seen as a threat last year this year they fell apart, Bengals WOW if you could'nt be the bengals (eagels) then WOW epic fail, Redskins look hot early in the season then fell apart, PATS now that is funny anyone could've won cause they had no passing game without Brady, Ravens is another team that was hot thoughout. So if ya wann look at it that way I think Titans have it rougher next season or so what it seem like your trying to say with "Titan's schedule NEXT year is easier than the Steelers' schedule THIS year"

So would you say that it's an easy schedule? Well your tough games will be the entire division the entire AFC south division wow I just relized you play two whole divisons Houston, Indy, Jaguars, and Titans are AFC South, and Packers, Vikings, Bears and Lions are NFC North. It will be a battle though out the whole thing. Also wait and se who is picked up in the off season.

As someone who has seen their team perpetually in the play offs, and most of the time lose, I can understand the need to validate your team by looking at things like stats. Unfortunately, that stuff only counts for commentators and fantasy football.
You're really reaching on the schedule thing. We can go around and around about this stuff forever. The Steelers played 7 regular season games vs 6 play off teams. The Titans will play 5 regular season games vs 4 play off teams next year, and this year their opponents Win/Loss record was something like 116-140. THAT is a weak schedule. Just because they had a weak schedule doesn't mean they are a bad team. I am interested to hear why you think the Steelers might not make it next year. Since their schedule is obviously easier next year than this year and they won't be facing any big losses to free agency, I'm curious to see why someone would expect them to do worse.
Points scored are not widely accepted as what defines a defense because the D doesn't always have control over points scored. Don't forget that offensive turn overs and special teams plays play a huge factor in points scored. Even the Titans' ended up with 21 points off of turn overs vs the Steelers. That's not the D's fault.
Let's face that none of us REALLY know what is going to happen. This time last year, who thought Miami would win their division, that the Pats wouldn't even make the play offs, or AZ would make it to make the super bowl? It all comes down to a good GM, good coaches, injuries, and getting hot at the right time.

Not particularly hard or easy, and it's hard to tell who is going to come on next year and who is going to fall off. You won't truly know until the season gets rolling. It looks like the Rams have some work to do before difficulty of schedule makes a difference, but you never know. The only team I expect to never be good is the Raiders. They're a perfect example of why team attitude makes such a huge difference.

They've got it all wrong in Oakland. The fans themselves are a spectacle. I was riding public transit once in San Fran the day of a Raiders game, and I felt like I was at a GWAR concert.

OK Destro How the hell did you get offensive turnovers as a big part of point's WITH BEING THE DEFENSIVES FAULT. All Offensive turnovers are just more proof that the one Teams defense stop the other team from from scoring. Well as an avide person watching football, who ever has beter stats is usally the team that has a slighty better chance at wining the game. If the win or weather they lose all depends on the team yes but stats just isn't for Commentators or fantasy football, it's shows who can be declared #1 in that particular area which also shows teams where they need work on. And for why I think they will not make the playoffs next year. Lets see who they will play
Pittsburgh Steelers Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
The Ravens, Titans, are the toughest on the list but teams to watch out for Bears, Packers, Vikings, Browns, Dolphins. Teams that I think will step up next year will be the Lions, Raiders, Chargers, Bengals. That is why I think so. Yeah even though Lions went 0-16 doesn't count them out of a turnaround espeically with a new head coach. You may say teams cn't go big after a weak season, but all I know is one thing changes everything. Either a new head coach a player change or a new player.
Also speaking of the raiders being bad yeah they ain't no longer feared as the black pit or whatever it is but they haven' got the players like the chiefs or the Lions that will work with the team.

You're pretty lucky...it was a VERY close game and I thought the Steelers were going to lose for a while and I was VERY happy for that while. Then they lost...unfortunate but congratulations to the Steelers on an excellent game played...both teams for that matter I though played an excellent game!

I know Holmes got the MVP mainly for that last drive, but I might have given it to Harrison for the INT for a TD. I know it's only one play, but that was basically a 14 point play.
