Neat lil alternative to speed fan. I like this program for the simple reason that i gives you usefull info such as ur cpuid and your Tj Max. It also has a usefull side bar app, plus it runs really low in the background. Program is still kinda new so it may have a few bugs.

Yeah my wife's note book is an AMD which kinda has the same problem w/the Tj Max. The rest works fine though. You can see what I run in my signature and it picks up on everything perfect. It was even able to give me my Cupid when INTEL told me it was impossible w/out the original box or the vender looking up my order(neither of which were helpfull). Since there are two CPUS that have my model number the only way to tell them apart was the CPUID. You should really get away from the AMD processor though!! Smiley

AMD takes whatever Intel does, makes it faster, and sells it cheaper.  I've run only AMD since my 387.

Even my first PC wasn't Intel - it was a turbo-XT 10mhz (!!) clone

Running on the Phenom II 940 x4. Great chip! Wouldn't mind having a I7 975...

This is true...you know that AMD was started by Intel's main developers that wanted to make a go of it on their own.

To me, the "Intel vs. AMD" and "NVIDIA vs. ATI" rivalries work out to be pretty similar.  Depending on when you build your computer, one or the other could have the best bang for the buck.  My first computer build used AMD and ATI, and my latest build uses Intel and NVIDIA.

As for this Core Temp program, it's telling me that my CPU cores are at 35 C while Asus PC Probe is saying 24 C.  Is the Core Temp program more reliable?

Respectfully disagree with that statement.  Best bang for the buck is and has ALWAYS been AMD...they price their stuff more aggressively than Intel does plain and simple.  Now if you want to say "one or the other could be faster depending on when you build it" then you can but AMD's are always priced better.
