A lot of members have found the WeGame software is excellent for taking videos and screenshots of in-game play.
It is a free program that can be found at:
http://www.wegame.com/
Just create an account and download the client software. It is not a large program (10MB).
If you have a second HDD it is preferential to record the video to that drive so as to minimize any affect on your game.
