Well I have searched the forums for a thread on which we can post pics and spec on our rigs but I have failed to find one, so I'm starting one. I always hear on TS that "I'm running this" or "I have that" so lets see it. Here's my lil project that never end's.....

   O.C. @ 3.0ghz, 1333MHz FSB, runs @ 45°C under full load.
- Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX / 4 in 1 / 6 Heatpipes / 120mm Fan / CPU Cooler
- EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Video Card (Need to upgrade I know.)
- OCZ Vista Upgrade Edition Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB) X2

I like the OCZ XTC Memory Cooler V2. Yes, it does sit high above the memory but the increased distance allows for better circulation in and around the memory sticks. Also, some of the newer memory has fairly tall heat spreaders and the OCZ's clearance is needed for these. The cooler's height is actually lower than the video cards so I do not see height as any real obstacle. I prefer the increased height so that the cool air is directed not only on the memory sticks but also to the surrounding areas of the motherboard.

I like the blue LED fans also. It really enhances the interior of the case and the LED on/off switch is a nice feature for those times when you do not want the blue lights on.

Love the cooling setup. I want to use a full-size tower for my next setup so that I can try out some water-cooling equipment.

Yes, I really like the room that a full tower case offers.

I am looking at the Futuremark website and there are 2 different benchmark programs:
    3DMark Vantage
    PCMark Vantage

Both will work with the Windows 7 operating system. It sounds like the 3DMark is the package designed for the gamer computers and the PCMark for the normal computers. Is the 3DMark software the one I should use to really test it?

3DMark measures graphics performance and PCMark measures PC performance or (CPU) performance.

That's the best cable management I can accomplish.  The cables on that power supply are not very flexible.

And I don't really care what it looks like, as long as it works.

That's really good for a 13 year old, I didn't have anything like that when I was 13!  In fact when I was 13 I had Packard Bell desktop with a 13 inch monitor.  It had an Intel 50MHz processor, 4MB or RAM, 500MB Hard Drive, 4x CDROM, 1.44 Floppy Disk, integrated video, integrated sound, internal 2400bps modem, running DOS and Windows 3.0

That's a good set up. I like how you used the black corrugated tubing for cable management.

Definitely you need to get a good gaming headset with mic so you can hear all the little nuances (footsteps) better and talk with the team.

Love the water cooling setup. That will definitely be one of my next projects once I get a full tower case.

When I was 13, I believe I still had the IBM PC jr I got when I was 10.  It had 64K of memory..that's right; not M, K. It had a 4.7 MHz and no HDD.  It ran everything from it's 5 1/4 floppy drive.

Amm0, do you have an exhaust fan on the top of the case?  If so you are good, if not you'll want to think about pointing your CPU exhaust toward the back to get it out quicker.

Windows 7 is NICE, especially compared to Vista. I would have to say it is the new Windows XP once you get used to it. I am running 7 Home Premium and don't really have any issues with it. I have been running 7 since Beta days.

Im with malhovic on this one.  When i upgraded to Vista from XP, i had moments where i looked back and missed some things, but when going to 7, everything was better, and i never looked back to xp or vista.  I would recommend it to anyone!

When you do go to Windows 7, I would also seriously consider going with the 64-bit version. It takes full advantage of all your memory and runs very stable.

Would not surprise me at all. This would ensure that people will older processors will have to upgrade to newer CPUs in order to install it. Boost to both AMD and Intel.

If people are still using x86 only cpu's in this day and age, they probably dont care what version of windows their running anyway lol
