Wow. They went to a little trouble to hide this fake. A mold of the CPU heatsink with a picture of the fan was just too much. I would definitely have hit the roof if my CPU box came to me in this condition from any retailer. On eBay this would not surprise me at all - but not NewEgg.

Yeah Newegg apparently received a supply of 300 of these fake processors. They know about it and are working to fix the issue for everyone who received one.

NewEgg's service has been dropping for me the past few orders I have had.
First price was an issue, not being the best out there like they usually are (at least in the top 10). Now I am having issues with their shipping BS. My new parts were ordered by 3PM PST, I know the ship date would then be Friday, not Thursday. My order was successfully charged Thursday evening (about 20 minutes after the order). After that, the box said it was shipping starting at 12:03AM...it didn't leave the facility until 5:30PM Friday afternoon. Then, once it left the facility it sat in Tenn. over the weekend from 8PM Friday evening until 6:30AM this morning.
I used to get great service from NewEgg. They would go the extra mile for their customers. Now it just seems that they are the big-guy on the block and they don't care about the customer service any longer.

UPS picks up from their facility every evening around 5pm, UPS doesn't ship (package doesn't go anywhere) on the weekends unless you pay for a Saturday delivery which I'm sure you didn't for as expensive as it is. Item should have left Tennessee very early on Monday morning and should be on it's way to you now, though I wouldn't expect it any earlier than this Friday (5 business days) depending on what shipping you got.
However, all that being said you could be right, Newegg issued an IPO last year and that typically means that they have to answer to their investors and shareholders that want to see profits and big ones. That means prices go up and the have to do more with less. I still won't do business anywhere else as they have always proved to be at least competitive if not the lowest price around.

That is exactly what happened with the shipment. The lowest shipping they offered was 3 day select so I am getting it Wednesday. Just hate waiting for something when you paid for it...the shipping should be included with the cost of the item for 1 day delivery IMO considering that is what happens at a retail store that is out of stock.
I guess I expect too much.

You'll pay for shipping whether you pay it as a shipping charge or you pay it in the form of a more expensive product with "free shipping". Either way, you'll be paying it. Retailers also tend to charge a lot more for the products than online retailers, and then there's tax. I do tend to prefer FedEx over UPS because it normally means I get my stuff a day faster since they work Saturdays.
