So after my ragequit on the CPU cooler I bought with the new rig I am looking around and found that the one I got wasn't the "best". Take a look at this list and let me know what you think about each: Once I get your feedback I will probably be purchasing. Honestly at this point I am looking at all three so I can't pick one.

My vote goes for the Titan. Dunno why, but the thing just rocks. Bit-tech.net swears by it!

@Navy, I decided to stick with the Air coolers mainly because of the image below. The three coolers that I listed all score way better on temps than the H50 for some reason. I don't know why, but they do. I would have agreed with you on the H50 before seeing this too so it might interest you. @tehfunk, Thank you for the Titan choice. I am going to read through the link you attached to see what they have to say. Which CPU Cooler?

Sorry for the double post here, but looking at the H50, I don't think they reviewed the Rev 3 model. This one might do better and it will be quieter. Do you have the fan blowing out of the case Navy?

No, I have the rear fan blowing inward so that the cool external air is brought across the radiator instead of the hotter internal air. My top fan is blowing the hot internal air out of the case.

OK now that makes sense. Didn't think of it that way. I may have to bust out the dremel if I get the H50 so that I can add a top fan to my PC.

im thinking of getting either the V10 or the h50. tigerdirect has the V10 for $110 bucks. So many choices and its so hard to pick which one because both coolers are really good.

If your stuck between those 2, i would say get the h50. The V10 is pretty overpriced, especially when there are cheaper non-tec coolers that outperform it. If i were you though, i would save myself some money and get a titan fenrir or core contact freezer

After reading a lot of reviews, currently it seems that the H50 is having some issues. I checked the Corsair Forums and a lot of people don't seem too happy. Plus I thought about the radiator and the dust build-up and am sketchy about that.

If you want to go water cooled then don't go cheap, you will regret doing it if you do go cheap. You get what you pay for most times with water cooling.

He makes a good point. The H50 really cant compare to full fledged kits. It has a very small volume of water, no reservoir, a weak pump, and a smaller sized radiator. The h50 is great for HTPC's and gamers, but its not going to be the first choice for an avid overclocker

Well it's definitely entry level or for someone who just wants to try it out and see if it's really something they want to get into. I would compare it to the stock heatsink and fan on a CPU, it works but it's not great, if you want performance you're going to have to buy a better one.

Well, I ended up ponying up the money for the Titan Fenrir. Reasons being:
1. The Corsair H50 just got very bad feedback 2. The V10's cost as well as simply how MASSIVE it really is. 3. The Noctua didn't have much about it online
So far after looking around at reviews, the general census on the Fenrir is outstanding, so for $60 total I can't complain.

May I ask why you chose water cooling over traditional heatsink and fan?

Just bought the Coolermaster V8. Did a Intel burn test and went 5C over 62C limit, whoops! Stock cooler is running idle at 44C. V8 should bring it down.

Schlup, I was thinking about going water, but once I read around and found some other helpful bits of information the only way it would have benefited me is if I went all out. I ran a couple configs all out and was in the high $300 to low $400 range which is WAY more than I am willing to spend for cooling considering I am not a serious over clocker.

Ok, now that everybody purchased their new CPU coolers the big yearly test/review came out today. I always buy based on their recommendations for my CPU cooler. They do a great unbiased test and review so you know it's legit. Anyways, here it is... http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=432&Itemid=62

OK thermal paste is still setting, but my idle is down to 30°C. During an hour long session with BC2 this morning, my temps hit 55°C. In checking the fan speed though, it never sped up during that session. I may have to play with that to see what I can do there.
