BPN Banner in Forums

I put it up so you could see what it looks like, I want some feedback, do you like it or not like it being there?  When I say being there I mean there or not there, it can't be moved around.  Let me know people...

P.S. I'm going to link it to unread messages because I think a lot of us are using that to read the forums and I want a bigger target to click on.

I don't mind it there at all!  But having said that, I think it should be updated to represent what most of us play here, IE MW2 and Bad Company as the current banner has CS, CSS and TF shown and it seems to me most of us aren't playing much of those games these days.

My suggestion if we are going to do that would be to update with current games as well as make it a bit narrower so that it doesn't take up so much room. Think of the 1024x768 viewers.

This is the same banner we run on the homepage, in fact, this is the banner from the homepage getting hosted here.  As for changing the banner I agree as well, but disagree on what to change it to.  We need to take specific games out of it or else we'll be updating it ALL the time.  I had an idea on an awesome banner (ties directly into our name "BulletProof Nerds") but have been unable to get it done by anyone.  It's a pretty difficult design and I have very exact ways I want it to look.  I have a friend that is a graphic design artist and it's even difficult for him.  I think he'll end up doing it though eventually, then you all can see it.

I hate having to get/make new banners, there is a lot of time associated with changing a banner out and then updating ALL the sites that I have put that banner on over the years.  That's why I don't want to change it very often.

I would agree that it would be tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming to change the banner graphics to match the current games. We would be changing it at least once a year.

The BPN homepage states:

This clearly shows what type of games we like to play, additional graphics are not needed.

Besides, the game server banners on the homepage show what games we are currently playing (except for MW2 of course).

Schlup, I am not opposed to that idea. I think it would be awesome if we could get a banner that speaks to our name and then let the mission statement do the rest.

As for updating it on multiple sites, when we get the new banner, why don't you put it in a single location so that all you have to do is just upload the new file if we ever change it again and then point each site at that single file. That would be a lot easier.

Most sites require you to host it on their systems.  Don't blame them for as often as these little tiny clans go down.

I think the image on the Forum is too big...

I'd say remove it. But the new image to represent ourselves a little better would be good.

I agree that it is a little large. Maybe a version that is half this size would be great.
