I may need a new motherboard since my ASUS A8N  32 SLI Deluxe S939 may be fried in which case the AMD 64 X2 4000+ and OCZ RAM will be going on ebay or sold buy myself. So to make a long story short can anyone suggest an excellent Motherboard/CPU/Ram combo oh and a new Operating system to go with it.I have 2 x XFX 8800GTs and alot of extras that are going into the new build for now.Any ideas either AMD or Intel I7??

Ok so no hard drive, no video card but does it come with the case?  Does it come with the power supply?  Is this the full system with the exception of the hard drive and video card?

Honestly, that isn't a bad deal but I would still prefer to build a new rig if I were you.

I went with the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black and am very happy with it. The total was around $800 without case, hard drives, video card or CD-Drive (DVD, CD, etc.). I bought the mobo, the proc, heatsink, 8gb ram, 750 watt psu. If you are going i7, it is going to be way more expensive.

Your price is about $100 too high then.  Could buy those components from Newegg new for less than your price!

Okay was looking at newegg and kinda took some advice.I'm hoping to get: AMD Phenom II x4 965,G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 1333,Win 7 Pro 64bit just need a good PSU and SLI motherboard to run my 8800GTs.I've never heard of G.Skill before always used OCZ RAM.Thanks Malhovic & other for the ideas.I was looking at neweggs AM3 motherboard selection any opinions on this motherboard selection as I am going to run 2 x 8800GTs XFX Alpha dogs SLI'd. PSU must be powerfull enough to run CPU,Fans,2x DVD RW,3 HDs(1TB,2X 80Gb) 2x 8800GTs + assorted accesories.

The mobo schlup posted is one of the best, but unfortunately not SLI capable.  There really aren't many amd/sli boards out there, and i could only find 2 on newegg, both of which are pretty solid.

Everything looks good, also good idea on the larger PSU, that will come in handy when you upgrade your video cards, as the new ones are very power hungry!

Schlup my order was from Newegg...so that price is what they had.

James, that setup looks good. No problem with the help. The rig is a quick one for sure.

I went and picked up my dead system today and gave the ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe motherboard & OCZ 780W Modextreme PSU a proper memorial service, did a slam dunk right into the dumpster.I am now in the process of cleaning all my other parts in preparation/expectation of a new build and hopefully a new home for my XFX 8800Gts.If anyone know someone that can use an AMD 64 4000+ S939 CPU let me know, I have an extra 2x 1GB stick of OCZ dual channel Platinums that I'm either going to stick into my back up system or sell to my ex's lil brother. A BIG TY for all the opinions & help from all.I'll hopefully get to start my build after my daughters 7th birthday (kids come first).

I can always use old parts, as long as they are working.  For my computer repair business.
