    My m button at work doesn't type well so sometimes itll be missing

    I need a new mobo. 

    min specs:
    LGA 775
    2 pci-e for graphics cards
    1 pci-3 spare slot
    1 pci slot
    4 2.0 usb ports
    3.0 usb and esata optional
    4x240 pin ram
    5.1 or 7.1 integrated sound
    24-pin mobo power
    8-pin plug in thingy by cpu
    4xsata internal ports

    Thats the only LGA775 SLI mobo on newegg right now. aka that socket is really old!!  It has a 4pin atx power connector instead of 8, and if you have dual slot GPU in SLI there will only be 1 open PCI slot.  Also has 7.1 integrated, but no 3.0 usb or eSata.

    No, but really, return your CPU, and buy an up to date mobo and new CPU.  You'll probably still save money seeing as how expensive your CPU was!

    I agree with schlup.  You'll have a lot more choices on what to buy if you upgrade, and seeing as we're only weeks away from 6-core cpu's on the market, you have even more reason to do so.

    Well the problem was that he paid an arm and a leg for a CPU because it was discontinued.  Luckily you just bought it and can return it, even if they charge you a restocking fee you'll still come out on top after upgrading to X58 and a i7 920 (if you decide to go that route).

    i agree with schlup. 775 was a nice setup dont get me wrong i owned 2 rigs with it. But its I-7 or 965 time Smiley I having a 965 i love it and im really realy happy i went with this setup. Overclocked really easy and its super fast.
