They are said to be going to relese it by Christmas of '09.  The corporate sector really never made the move to vista which really killed it.  I run it and I like it alot.  However Windows 7 is said to run faster then XP SP3 and Vista SP1.  So that will be an excellent thing...still trying to decide which system to install it on.

Well I'm gonna try it out.  I decided to get the VMWare Player (which is free), this allows me to run a virtual OS on a virtual machine without actually messing up my real machine and data.  So I downloaded VMWare Player then I searched their existing Virtual Machine downloads and found Windows 7 Ultimate edition.  I am downloading that now and should be up and running in Windows 7 by tomorrow evening hopefully!  I'll keep you all posted on what I think about it.

I like it. It runs really well on this old IDE drive I put it on.

So are you just dual booting?  Do you think it runs faster than XP?  I'm thinking about putting it on my really old machine that is running 1GHz single core AMD, 1.25GB or RAM, and a couple of 60GB HDD's that are on IDE.  What do you think?

Well I got it running in VMWare...very limited usage so far so not too much to report.  I think there are a few things that aren't running the way I expected but I believe that those are because it is running in VMWare and not because of Windows 7.  Overall I like it but I think I need to do a regular fresh install on one of my computers rather than use the VMWare route...I mean, if I really want to dive into it and play around.  I really need to upgrade my old computer so I can run it on there...want to run x64 edition with 4GB or RAM.

Yeah, I got it installed on my Guest Computer but I keep getting BSODs because my power supply isn't big enough.  I have ordered a new one for it.
