not sure what to think about this.......
I can think of other plays that would be more appropriate
for their age group than ScarFace

There is not a chance that my children would be allowed to participate in that play! That movie got an 'R' rating for a reason!

The kids were using 'fudge', 'son of a B', 'coke', etc without even knowing what they truly meant. Not to mention the rampant use of guns and killing in cold blood.

If the teacher sent home a notice saying they were going to make a play about Scarface, my permission would never be given. I would hope that the teacher/school would be given some type of reprimand for this. I know the school board would have heard about it.

Bad choice of play material. Too mature for the actors.

It is funny but when you think about it
It is just wrong for children to be like or act like
SCARFACE.
We have to much killing and guns/drugs in
the world today no need to teach our kids to idolize
scarface

Ditto!!  Was that a School play or something??  What School would allow that?  I wouldn't even let my kids watch that movie and it's kinda odd that my 12 yr old Son and 12 yr old Step-son asked to watch this last weekend!  I said "not a chance boys".  Not appropriate for kids, especially the wee ones in that vid.  7 and 8 yr olds talking about "coke" and making slang references to foul language....nice job Teacher!    Angry

I am sure it took a lot of work getting they play together
and all the students on the same page, so props for that
but as far as selection of the story for the play.....
EPIC FAIL

I can tell you why they are asking...all the movie stars and music stars are all raving about it being the coolest movie ever...they have been saying this for a while too.  I think they all have stock in it because it's most definitely NOT the coolest movie ever.

Found out some information about this video. It's not a school play. The kids are "professional" actors.

I am not sure that it makes that much of a difference
due to the age of the children.

Yeah, I mean how "professional" can you be at age 8?
