Look on the Store tab in your Steam Account and you will see an interesting listing in the Licenses and subscriptions area.

No idea what this means yet.

I'd say they are going to open it up to everybody for a weekend to help boost sales after that weekend is over.

I would definitely back up your player files before Thursday!!

Since the game will be free all weekend there are sure to be plenty of hackers/cheats using free accounts to have some fun.  Huh?

I would make a backup each night to ensure that you can recover should something happen.

There could literally be hundreds or thousands of new players to pwn and gather some good stats for your player. I myself will be joining for most of the weekend. Maybe I can get close to the next prestige level (6th).

In coordination with the free weekend of MW2, Steam has reduced the price of MW2 by 15% to $50.99 until Monday at 10 AM PDT.

Sounds to me like MW2 players might be giving up on the game (what with hackers and hacked servers running around for PC) and they're trying to get more people to play (as well as just make more money).

Guard: Surrender, Assassin, and I promise you a quick and easy death.
Assassin: I could promise you the same, but it would be a lie.
