Yesterday I was getting weird errors:
Unable to connect to database server
If you still have to install Drupal, proceed to the installation page.

If you have already finished installing Drupal, this either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or that we can't connect to the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.

The MySQL error was: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'sending authentication information', system error: 32.

Currently, the username is bulletproofnerds and the database server is localhost.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
For more help, see the Installation and upgrading handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.

say what DRUPAL.....Huh?

any Ideas?
looks like all is working today Smiley

Our webserver was over capacity yesterday and some today, and last week etc.  We are getting so many visitors that we are running out of resources.  Basically for every user that connects to the website they get an apache process.  Each apache process uses up RAM memory.  We are running out of RAM memory, which then converts into what's called SWAP memory which is basically just the hard drive taking the place of RAM which is SUPER slow.  We have 4GB of RAM right now, we need much more but the motherboard max on our server is 4GB which means we would either have to upgrade to renting a new server (which costs like $200 a month) or we can buy a server to put in the datacenter.  We have chosen to purchase a new server which will be much cheaper in the long run.  However, until we have enough donations to buy one we are stuck with this one.  If there aren't alot of users on the site then it will run fine, but when there are alot of users on the site then it runs slow or becomes unresponsive.  Besides having enough memory to keep the site up and running, handling the tons of users we are getting the increased processing speed of the new server and faster speeds of the hard drives will make the site MUCH more snappy and responsive.  It will run like the big sites like google, youtube, amazon, etc.  We just need to get to our goal for donations and then we will be able to make the new purchase.
