I seem to remember being told that this was a "Scary" game and was thinking about getting it for my new PC but I can't seem to find the original game. I know that it was available for either the Xbroke or the PS2 at one point but do not know if it was for the PC format. Anyone have any info on this or any other "Horror" type PC games that are worth playing? I did try the F.E.A.R. 2 demo and it was not really creepy except in one or two parts. I am looking for something to scare me without having to see Rosie O'Donnell in the nude. Thanks for any help.

Ok, I did some research...here is Silent Hill on PC via Steam.
http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/19000/

Also this should be a scary one, Resident Evil 5, it's rated scarier than Silent Hill...
http://store.steampowered.com/app/21690/

Or you could check out Dead Space, which is rated the scariest PC game made to date.

I knew that the newest one was out for PC as well as 2,3,4 but 1 is what I was trying to find on PC. That Dead Space looks like it has possibilities and also will appeal to my SCI-FI side by the looks of it.
Resident Evil looks more like an adventure game than a horror game though. Going to youtube to look at more of the Dead Zone. Thank you by the way. Yea it looks pretty good.

There are 5 games in the series. I have this thing about having to do the first before I do the others. I will look into it.

But Now There is Dead Space 2, and Silent Hill 8
I a playing Dead Space now, 2 does not come out until October. I want to get all the Silent hill games, I kind of have this thing where I have to play them in order. A friend loaned me his copy of Mass Effect 2 and I playwd for maybe an hour which was long enough to let me know I like it, so now I am waiting to finish playing until I can get Mass Effect 1 and complete that first. I am the same way with Movies. Oh by the way welcome back and here is your new Sig http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd222/pysteve1970/ROETHLISBERGER%20ROOKIES/RoethlisbergerSOTT.jpg

I am a huge fan of the DOOM series.

With that said, I couldn't finish DOOM3 because it flat out scared the crap out of me.

Mind you, I was playing it at 3am with the lights off and a strong 5.1 sound system but I walked into an office and heard a maniacal laughter tear around the room (and behind me, the 5.1 system is key here) and I just started flipping my character around flinging rockets only to find that the game was just effin with me....I turned it off and uninstalled.

'nuff said.

Not really "horror" games per se, but the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series of games always has very on edge moments that get your heart pumping. nothing like mutated radioactive zombie soldiers jump from the ceilings and charge you while a mutated midget psychic pulls your weapon away from you and trys to melt your brain with his mind rays.

Sorry but I don't have a digital camera and I try hard to avoid them. Buch of liberals in my family and we tend to really get into it.
