This is the thread where we all chime in giving Schlup reasons why he should start playing WoW.

Mine first: You miss playing games with me and since there are no new cool RTS games out, this is your only choice.

Its the most popular game for the PC, ( i think )  you should at least try the free trial.  Who knows? It might not be the game for you and all of us pushing for you to play it can shut up!

The problem is not the trial...I'm fully aware that I will love the game if I try the trial, that's the problem, I know I will get addicted to it and I don't want to get addicted to it!

You won't get addicted.  There're too many games to sidetrack you.  The guild needs more people, too.  Support BPN.

Most people that would fall under the category of "addicted" are raiders, people who spend their days farming gold and materials, then spend their nights raiding for hours on end.  BUT since bpn isnt a hardcore raiding guild and is more of a social place, you shouldn't be pressured ever to play like the "addicted" people do,

That doesn't mean I wouldn't play that way.  I just can't do it guys, sorry!  Not to mention that I don't believe in paying a monthly fee just to play a game!

The subscription fee is justifiable because they are continually adding new content and changing things to keep it interesting.  That being said, some people simply don't see the value in it.  To each his own.

there are plenty of games out there that you only have to buy once
and still they will continue to bring enjoyment!!

My old guild had a couple girls.  One of them lived in Israel and had to wake up in the morning to raid (12 hour time difference).  We also had a husband /wife combo that were pretty cool.  Off topic, but the husband bought his wife breast implants for christmas and he was very proud, proud enough to post before/after pictures on the guild forums (it was NSFW  )

Its true that there are plenty of games out there that don't have subscription fees and still provide good old fashioned entertainment.  But coming from someone who owns plenty of non-subscription games, none of them are on the same level as WoW.  It has so much depth and quality behind it, its ridiculous.  And that stems from the fact that Blizzard has oodles of funding to make their product better and better, ala subscription.
