my account got hacked. I hit 80 last night and logged out. When I tried to sign in today, my password no longer worked. I reset it and found that my character had been moved to another server, a lot of his bank had been cleaned out and all of his money was gone. Pretty awesome.

I emailed their support team at a couple of different email addresses. We'll see what they comeback with. If they aren't supportive in putting things back to how they were, I will quit playing. I'm not going to go through all the effort to put things back how they were only to have it hacked again. The only thing I can think of is that I logged in from a friend's computer one time about two days ago. Perhaps there is something on his machine. I don't know.

All the people that ive seen this happened too got all their stuff restored. Just have to be patient with blizz and give it a little time. Sucks to hear it happened right after you dinged though

I did have full access to the guild bank, so I hope none of that was also stolen, though I'll bet it was since my own bank was ripped off.

Supposedly you can get it back, but their backups only go 2 weeks back. No word from them so far.

Not a clue. Blizzard isn't real concerned with keeping you updated to that sort of thing. The thief/hacker is probably still at large still stealing people's accounts.

ya my account got hacked too they took 3k gold and 2 sets of t10 on my 2 lvl 80's 1 week later they have all my stuff in the mail box
and yes get a authincator its nice you put in your pass and then the 6 digit code ts double security... and what character hit lvl 80? your mage... my account is down right now but i can help you get gear faster i got a resto shaman in t10 help you power throug instances.. for your gear.

The mage is 80. The next highest toon I have on that server is a Shammy at 31. I will be loking to play more probably Monday night.
