Wow, they made some more improvements! Although the fan sizes are a little smaller I like the dust filters and the hot swap HDDs as well as the GPU bracket and cooler! So Grill are you getting it?

not sure about unnecessary does it not depend on how much you draw IE as if in he uses two or three GPU cards ect ect co.co.

Yeah, if I put in (3) GTX 495's I'll be using every last bit of that power supply...would probably need more power than that TBH.

Well probably wouldn't start with that kind of graphics power but it's always good to have enough to power whatever you think MAY be going into the system.

Personal Power Review: Current Video card standard watt usage for 5870HD is 27W pre-card overclocked @ Maximum 48W Crossfire @x3 Default 81W / OC144W CPU overclock i7 950 130W OC@210W 120 Fan, 2000RPM @ 4.2 W each. x6 Ram 1.65 Volts each. -------------- Estimated PSU usage: 650Watts in current Specs I would consider purchasing something other than a 1500W PSU unless you're running a Server which would require a lot of Watt. Your 950W is very sufficient for x3 495 it's doubtful they will consume close to 200W's even and triple will not generate the need to overclock in normal circumstances unless you're showcasing

Uhh the GTX 480 uses 450W under load with a single card. Now guess what the 495 will use being that it's (2) 480's sandwiched onto one board (speculative). My guess is that at minimum it'll run 500W per card, put (2) 495's in your system and just your video is using 1000W easy, not counting your processor and everything else and a little extra leeway room. P.S. your HD5870 uses 317W under load, so something you're doing with your measurements isn't working right. Source: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-480,2585-15.html

I think the numbers in that power consumption graph are for the whole system. Nvidia states the 480 has a maximum board power of 250W. Although its probably more than that, i dont think a gtx495 would consume more than 500W by itself. Also, i doubt the power consumption between a 480 and 495 is linear by x2, if they'll be anything like the 280 to 295 that is.

The power consumption numbers in the graph are for just the graphics card alone. Granted they are running furmark to figure out the power consumption which really slams the graphics card. I don't think the 495 will be linear with the 480 which is why I stated the 495 would only use 500W when the 480 by itself uses 450W.
In the end though, no matter what, it's always better to be overpowered than underpowered.

I expected it to be around $150 actually. It is the best case on the market hands down but $200 for a case is kinda steep.
