Because working at Best Buy is awesome, I just ordered this laptop, (Dell Studio 15) with the listed configuration below.

    *  Intel®  Core™ i5-430M, 2.26GHz (2.53GHz Turbo Mode, 3M (cache)
    * 4GB shared dual channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
    * 320GB 7200 RPM SATA hard disk drive
    * 15.6 inch High Definition (720p) LED Display with Camera
    * 8X Slot Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)
    * Genuine Windows* 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    * McAfee SecurityCenter*, 15-Months
    * Back-lit keyboard
    * 56 Whr Lithium Ion Battery (6 cell)
    * 1 year At Home* Service, 24x7 Technical Support

And I only paid $602.48 for it....

I'll be taking the McAfee off of it though so if anyone wants the subscription to it, I'm sure we can get it to work.

That would be an awesome deal if it had a dedicated graphics card in it.  Still a great deal...just not awesome. In any case congrats on your new purchase.

It ships out on the 27th so once I get it, I'll get in touch with you.

Schlup, I don't plan on using it for gaming, just for school, so the dedicated graphics isn't that important to me. The built in HD graphics with the i5 will work just fine for watching movies.

You have a good point there, I guess I would just like to have the option to game in case I am out of town traveling or something.

gaming on laptop while traveling = fail.

I like my setup with my hardware just fine and I can't perform worth a crock if I don't have it all.

In case you're wondering what my hardware is:

dual monitors
surround sound headset
mouse
keyboard
ash tray

Nice laptop, I agree laptops are primarily a school and work related type of equipment I find, Since you shouldn't be gaming at work or at school traveling does fail for gaming connections usually suck. But yeah good stuff
