I ordered a Razor TRAN I paid and it never showed up in the mail ^_^ when I asked they said they had no record of my purchase even though my credit had the proven information. :\

I run pretty much everything Logitech since then, G35, G15, G5, Extreme 3D Pro & S150 XD!! Yeah I apologize for the random blunt statement but it seemed appropriate when I read the name Tongue

Ive got a Logitech G500 and i love it.  Its comfortable, has well placed buttons, and tracks way better than the microsoft sidewinder i have.  The G500 also has a high speed scroller wheel with an on/off switch, its kinda hard to explain.  maybe another g500 owner can elaborate on it more >.<

tehfunk, you're in luck...not only do I have that exact same mouse BUT I used to work phone support for Logitech.

The scroll wheel has two modes, normal and hyper scroll, and these two modes are toggled by a button that is below the wheel.
Normal mode is what you expect, but hyper scroll removes the friction and lets the wheel spin freely, allowing you blaze through documents, lists, etc in record time.

I have the G9...nice feel to it, comes with two cover stryles plus the weights as 64M mentioned.  So far seems really good, or at least it has seemed to stand up to the beating it has sustained since I bought earlier this year....you know the drill, die in-game = mouse smash   LOL  I'm just kidding but I had a MX5500 mouse and I have to say it felt great in my hand but performance-wise it was a P.O.S.  Maybe I had a lemon but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

so I guess I'm the only one without a mouse Shocked ... ok my suggestion is a logitech thumball though i have to warn you if you love mouses and chasing them up the wall and off the side of your desk don't try a thumball I don't think its possible to go back it doesn't have a super amount of bottons but id imagine that a newer model would also you can have a cord attached (or not if you like to long distance gaming clicking) since it never moves on your desk there for it doesn't die right when you turn the corner and get shot in the face now by no means am I saying mouses are bad i mean there good for door stops, something to throw, a hockey puck, etc  Wink

Alamode, I'm going to suggest that Monkey Grill type his opinion of rollerball mouses in here.  He used to have one, I convinced him to try a conventional one from Razer and I'm pretty sure he is way more happy with it.

The G9(and x series) are definitely some solid mice. I used one at my work station at Logitech. My only issue issue with it that mouse is the width is a bit much and can be slightly uncomfortable for me while gaming but since I used it at work and was typing a bit more then aiming headshots it worked out awesome.

yes I am finding that it is very fat or large width wise
not as comfortable as I would like
also the scroll wheel is not as smooth (rolling) as my other mouse

I can't believe you would chase a mouse all over your desk, unless you didn't know about logitech trackman marble

You need to talk to Grill...he used to use the trackman marble and since has gone to a razer gaming mouse.  You should see what he thought about the change.
