So it's technically computer hardware so don't move the thread but this is awesome:

I expect Schlup to build one in the next week.

WOW, that is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!  I can't build one yet as I don't have the necessary old mobos to make something that big but when I do, since I need a new coffee table anyways I think I really will build one of these!  I like the white lights on it just like the picture.  It almost looks like a giant mainframe supercomputer!  I love it, thanks a ton for this post.  +1 BPN Prop!

Absolutely, you know it becomes apparent that i could probably go on ebay and just order a lot of motherboards for pretty cheap, since they don't need to be working.

well, you still have about 6 days to get it finished Schlup. I wouldn't procrastinate.

that definitely looks cool, but even more props if it functioned in some way, like a storage server for your house!

Oh, you could easily make it into a 50 petabyte DVR for your TV shows...it would be expensive but you would have tons of room for HDDs!

The DVR in our house only has room for 15 hours of HD footage, i dont think i can fathom how many hours a 50 petabyte would store lol
