I am running a Razer Copperhead

)
http://www.razerzone.com/p-80-razer-destructor-precision-gaming-surface.aspx and I enjoy both immensely though it tool me quite a bit to get used to the mouse. It should be noted that my hands and wrists and both/all been broken and frostbitten on a car wreck in 88 so my results may well not be that as other when it comes to getting used to things. Though I am not quite used to it yet the gaming surface allows me make smaller more precise movement which are hard to me because of the a fore mentioned injuries. but also allows me to make sweeping movement much faster as well. If you decide you want a Razer mouse then you may want to look for this thing they have on their site that asks you all kinds of questions about the way you handle your mouse in your hand to the way you move your mouse on the mouse pad and then gives you an idea of which of their mice may be for you and they also offer more than 1 option when you do this as well.
I went and found it for you after I made this post. Here it is
