just tought i`d chuck this on here,
seems that after about 30 to 45 min`s of capping bullets in some poor shmucks skull,
my sound just goes out for a game of hide and seek on me. and i do mean ALL SOUND.
cant do a freaking thing about it, except reboot my PC
so far i`ve only had this happen with MW7 and fallout3

weird thing is, i`ve fixxed it with fallout3 (happened to be the same fix as the 10min crash bug in fallout3) by messing about with the .ini files
seems fallout3 wasnt made for W7 64b,
but seeing i dont have a friggin clue wich file`s and wich lines i need to alter for MW2,
i`m a bit scared to mess it up.

(btw i read somewhere that MW2 was never intended for W7, so.......... any1 know what to do about this problem???)

Yeah, I'd upgrade your audio drivers and if it is onboard then I would try to find drivers for the mobo or even a bios update.  Other than that, are you running it from Steam?  I have W7 x64 and don't have any problems, but I'm running from Steam.

running it from steam? if you man booting it from steam yes, but i installed it with the discs.
and i`ll try updating everything (again) but i doubt that thats it. cause i updated everything when i had those probs with fallout3 last month, and MW2 is a older game then fallout3

Have you verified the integrity of your game cache files on Steam? Have you Defraged from Steam?

steam doesnt have anything to do with it, cause i had it with fallout3 aswell, and that was the "games for windows live" version.
its a fundamental problem in windows7 64bit itself, and i dont have any idea how to fix it, cant find anything on google either, all i get is complaints about stuttering sounds and crap like that, but in my case, there is no sound, nothing at all

yepz, first just ran the install, after that i tried removing then installing, then i tried letting windows fix it, with that "not correctly installed" stuff it shouts at you, nothing, so ended up with having to pull back the settings from a back-up to get my old drivers back

Go buy a new soundcard and install it and get the correct drivers for it, that'll fix it!
