The Gnutella-based download client LimeWire has ceased all its operations after a U.S. federal judge granted a request from the RIAA. Limewire was ordered to disable all functionalities in the current application to prevent users from sharing copyrighted material. The verdict is expected to have an unprecedented impact on the P2P file-sharing landscape.

I used to use limewire a lot, probably 7 or 8 years ago, but it has since gotten too popular and therefore virus prone.

in similar news, a woman is being charged $1.5 million for downloading 24 songs from kazaa(similar to limewire) back in 2006

First off, piracy is stealing. Second, you are most likely to get a virus from using P2P.

First off, piracy is stealing.
Stealing is producing a CD, DVD or game that costs the production company maybe $2.00 in all to make and then charging $10.00 to $70.00 to costumers to play watch or listen to.

Sir, that's not stealing. It's called capitalism. The production company has the right to the content on those discs which did cost money (sometimes millions) to make.
