A new Battlefield game was announced today, basically its a remake of Battlefield 2, with some changes to character progression and vehicles. Oh, and also the game will be free to play!! There will be ways to upgrade your characters looks or weapons by paying some money, but that should all be optional. I'd say its worth trying since its free but i am hooked on cod and i have always been hooked on cod so its hard to switch games when i am on my cod stage.

By the time its released, all of us stuck on cod might be able to find some time to pull ourselves away and give this game a shot. I wont be expecting too much out of a free game though, but its still worth a try! |

I didn't go to that website, I got mine from the worldoftanks.com website, just clicking on the little link that says join the closed beta. It took a couple of days. |

So far, I've spent about an hour in game. It has some minor bits of lag and I don't think the resolution settings are applying themselves correctly but it's not horrible. Just imaged BF:BC2 on a low res/settings with a kinda clumsier interface.

Just got done playing a round. Graphics are on par with BF2, but my resolution was 1024x768 for some reason, ill have to try and change it again. The character models are updated from BF2, but the maps and vehicles look basically the same. It also takes some weapons from BC2, so its not identical. And as far as i know, there are no more commanders, which i see as a plus. Hitboxes were better than BF2, but there was a bit of lag, probably from server loads.

Its the beta and its a closed beta so you need to get selected and they send you a key which you use to download the game client which i didn't have even though i applied for one a long time ago, anyways i actually found a key that worked, i found it in a comment in youtube lol. |

Honestly just trying to play its a problem it has so many menu bugs and connecting to a server is hard, but i cant really say anything since its a beta so those things will be fixed before they launch it I am guessing but the gameplay seemed a little buggy but it felt pretty smooth when shooting and when been in vehicles so i would definitely keep an eye out for this one, anyways COCO if u you want ill give you my email and pw and you can download the client and play it.

A Beta that seems buggy is likely how the final product will be. For example: BF:BC2. EA/Dice games will always have their problems.

Most beta are buggy because they are BETAs and when bc2 was released it wasn't bad i didn't lag or anything and if anything the reason that bc2 wasn't as good as other games on their release date was because big developers now are spending their efforts towards consoles and bc2 was a console port for the computer, but battlefield play 4 free is PC only and therefore they have to make it good otherwise no one will play it, also its free so if the game is bad people will just say hah i don't want to play it and they can easily turn away from it. |

Well I have had the beta for awhile now and so far its great ! I love how it all flows together weapons sound great tanks are still epic and snipers still tick me off. Over all at this rate its going to be a game I will play for a long time.
