I think "Clean Server" would bring more of the kind of people we are looking for, though it could bring a few morons as well looking to start trouble because of the name.

I just read a post on steam forums, apparently Activision sold the rights of a midnight release to gamestop and walmart, so Valve isn't allowed to unlock Black Ops preorders till 10am tomorrow morning.  Not being able to play a game i payed for, how crappy is that?! o well, at least i'll get a good nights sleep >.<

official.  gabe newell has been replying to peoples emails about it all day.  It really has nothing to do with valve or steam, its all Activisons doing/fault. If you go to the Black ops page in the steam store, it has a countdown showing the game will be released 9 hours from now ( its 1 am as i write this )

We had about 6 who were playing when I went to bed.

Review is tons of lag on every server and nube tubers everywhere:(The other thing that happens is Steam keeps dropping out so you can't even play single player mode. How bad is the lag? Well I can honestly say that most of my deaths were lag related, no joke. I like the graphics myself, but they are not near as good as I thought they would be. That game that came out last month had better graphics with the beta.

Well I submitted a support ticket with the lag with the game server provider.  My guess is that it's both game and server related (based on previous experiences).  My guess is that they got swamped with lag tickets from tons of people, this is a good thing though for a couple of reasons.  First it will make gameservers figure out what they did wrong by overloading the boxes with clients.  Second, I'm sure it will get brought up to Treyarch/Activision which will make them reconsider their decision to not only choose just 1 GSP but the 1 they chose being gameservers who are known for their overloading practices.  Hopefully they will reconsider this decision or at least put it back to where it needs to be for the next game (public server files).

Also, this will force Treyarch to start fixing the bugs that are in the game on launch, which once again could have been solved by releasing the game in beta form before they launch the actual game.

If these noobs would just go back to the way they were doing it for CoD4 & CoD5 all would be good again and these problems wouldn't have shown up in the first place.  I don't think they realize that by doing stuff the right way again (public server files & pre-release betas) that they could get their PC side sales back to what they once were and make way more money.  One day they'll get it right!

I'm actually with you on this, I've played a few Battlefield series games now, and they all play a certain way, a "Battlefield" way, I'm just not a fan of the mechanics of the Battlefield series, I do however like CoD mechanics but they keep screwing over the consumer.  Hopefully their next game they'll get it right and take it back to the way it was.  Other than that I think I'm giving up on Battlefield games, I know that alot of people love them but they just aren't my cup of tea.  Not to say they are bad, just don't mesh well with me.  Unless BF3 changes their mechanics of the game, which I doubt they do I'll pass on it.

As far as the Battlefield series goes, I like the realistic sniping (accounting for bullet drop and travel) and flying but the game is too slow paced.
