Just from reading the specs you put in the post the motherboard you chose is an ATI motherboard.  Either choose an nvidia motherboard or choose an ATI card.

P.S. I would definatly get one much better card rather than two of those lower end ones.  I would research what card to get for you but you didn't listen to my suggestions last time you asked me.  If my research would become worthwhile this time and you will use it then I will do it but otherwise I won't.

Do we have an attitude here, thats ok, I will figure it out thanks anyways. You can delete this post..............PS. I chose the other ones because I like the sound of running 2 video cards.

No attitude, I just don't want to spend alot of time researching computer components if you aren't going to take my advice anyways.  You know what I'm saying?

So I'll say this, you need to pick a different mobo because the one you have is for ATI video cards.  You need to choose different video cards because the 9500 is there low end video cards.  You can put them together in SLI and still probably not get the performance of one 9600 and definatly not the performance of one 9800.  I know you can get them cheap but you can get one card that will run better than those two low end ones for about the same price.  SLI is for people that want awesome performance, or those that want good performance without paying for the name or newness of one of the brand name cards.  For example, I chose to get two 8800GTS cards instead of one 9800GX2 because the 9800GX2 was twice the price of two of the 8800GTS cards and the performance was not twice as much.  There is alot that goes into picking the best video cards, you have to do alot of research and look at different benchmark comparisons that have been done between the cards to figure out what is your best bang of for the buck.

He had an AMD dual core specced...even though I would recommend going with one of the new Phenom II quad core processors instead.

I went intel quad.. because they were much faster than the phenom.. but as i clicked purchase.. i noticed the phenom ii's.. and did some research. and i woukld have rather wnt with one of them.. very powerful and overclockable chip! Putting intel in a run  again very soon... talking of 3.6 or higher ghz chip coming out..

the original phenom that he has spec'd are very low performance.. intel whoops all over them.. i love AMD but would not own a phenom i..

And I agree to one good card compared to 2 older cards in SLI.. especially if you have to pay extra for a SLI board.. they run significantly mor than a non-sli (but SLI be good or future upgrades)..

I have just a GeForce 9600 GT (Facory Overclocked) - and get upwards to 220 FPS in CSS.. plenty enough for me... and the card is pretty cheap now.. If i were to buy a new card, i would go with a NVIDIA GTX card, but those are in the 200+ dollar price range..

I know we support newegg.com, but I myself prefer zipzoomfly.com , comparable prices and alot f stuff free shipping, an what isnt has cheaper shipping than newegg.com.. newegg has high shipping prices, but thats my opinion Smiley

Yeah, I've been on ZipZoomFly.com before...personally I like the way NewEgg.com is because of their navigation, the fact that they offer over 2 times the amount of products that ZipZoomFly does, their customer reviews, and their customer service.  It is true that ZipZoomFly offers comparable prices to NewEgg but their free shipping option is also comparable to NewEggs in that they both offer specials on free shipping and that only certain products can take advantage of the offer.  Either way because sometimes I haven't decided exactly what I want, the advantage of NewEgg's customer reviews section on EVERY product helps me immensly!

For instance, one time Sir Diealot asked me about a video card he was going to purchase, I looked it up on NewEgg and read through the customer reviews section and found one user that was very similar to him in the motherboard that they were both using, that user found that the video card was not supported by the motherboard for some unknown reason.  So to make a long story short, saved Sir money by not ordering that video card that wouldn't have worked for him and he would have had to return it (shipping both ways + restocking fee = a decent chunk of money saved).

Item #: N82E16811144186     and maybe using the extra Video card out of this last one I built, I will be pulling one of my NVIDIA GeForce 9500 gt out of this last one I built, it seems to be all I need, I do not over clock or anything like that so that noted, find me a mother board, ram, processor, harddrive and a cd burner/player maybe dvd also, I have 450.00 to 500.00 to go on, lets see what we can come up with, with this amount of money.

Well I had just been looking at some video cards for you.  I found a 9800GTX+ which will out perform 6+ of the 9500GT's put together for about the same price as two 9500GT's
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130416

That being said I didn't know you were pulling your existing 9500 out of your old computer and reusing it.  Run, I can understand that the video card is currently running what you need it to, but when I look for computer components I try to think about what the user will be doing 1-2 years from now and if those components will allow them to do that stuff.  That is why I recommend what I recommend.  I'd hate for you to spend $450-$500 and then a new game comes out in a year that you really want to play and you get it and it plays, but it's all herky jerky and it makes the game no fun for you.  That's the kinda stuff I look at...performance vs. cost.  So now you are looking to do a budget build of a completely new system...is there no way you can upgrade the one you have?  Rebuying ALL of those componenets for $500 is going to be tough to get a decent system.  If we could save your motherboard and get you into a quad core with a new video card you could get a much better system.  Let us know exactly what you're working with, IDK, maybe you have plans for your current system but it sounds like you have 4-5 laying around already.  I'd like for your computer to easily be able to last you 4-5 years without building a new one or having to upgrade it much.

Well, what I have around here, their not worth updating, the one I am on is sweet and working fine, been told even with the 2 video cards in it the computer is actually only running on one, the second is not even needed. that is the only reason I was thinking of using it, but I am actually wanting to build another with the case I have so I can set one on each end of my desk lol. The tower is awesome and I dont really need the best right now just something that would compare to what I have. I am using the 9500 Geforce , 4 gig ram, the dual core processor and I havent had NO trouble with it at all, one of the best ones I have had yet. But idonno, just wanted to go with a whole setup something like I got now....without 2 cards...

The one and only thing I have seen that I do not like is that I find their site difficult to navigate. What I will do though is got to Tigerdirect.com find what I am looking for then copy the item description at newegg and go/buy from there. That and their site is kind of ugly to look at but I would rather pay for my product and not there website designers.

Are you using their guided search feature on the left hand side?  I guess you're just used to TigerDirect because IMO NewEgg is MUCH easier to find what you are looking for than TigerDirect.

To be honest a part of it may be because of my eyes. The print on tiger direct is much bigger and the picture really do help. Yes I have used the guided tour.

Or you could go with the 1GB of RAM Card. This is the one I got:

I would love to pull the trigger on another one of those!

Ok, so you are running a resolution of 1920x1200 which means that your video card needs to be fairly beefy.  The more RAM the better also for high resolutions.

Ok lets try this again since the processor is no available now. I am trying to not spend a whole lot but get by with what I need to play Eve and Css. Thats about all I am doing. I am sure the NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT will be fine for what I am using a computer for. With this case : Tower  APEVIA MX-PIDER-AL/500 Silver Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case ATX 500W Dual Fan W/ Automatic Fan Speed Control Power Supply - Retail
    Item #: N82E16811144186
I am wanting you to find me a mother board, processor, and 4 gig ram that will work for my needs for around 250.00 to 300.00. dont count the case in on that, that is extra, the 250 to 300 is just for those.

For CPU/motherboard you could go with:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.160471
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.155230
Both of which are quad core AMD's and that's the motherboard that I have personally on both of them.  It works well!

Ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134730
That brings you in at either $265 or $310 depending on which route you take.

P.S. The CPU/motherboard bundle that Dtrain recommended only has one PCIe x16 slot so you could never run SLI with that motherboard.

Yes, in addition to it being compatible with nvidia video cards that CPU is one of the new Phenom II's which is build on the 45nm architecture which basically means it will require less power, run faster, and emmit less heat.  It's a step down from the Phenom II 940 that I just got but you will still be able to overclock the 920 to 3Ghz or higher without much effort...in fact it will be a standard overclocking option in the BIOS of that motherboard to do what's called an AI booster 10% overclock that is guaranteed to run stable and it would bring that chip up to 3.08Ghz quad core.  Would be a very nice setup together.  I still think you should think about a higher end video card but you can get a better one later on down the road.

Now that being said, I will be getting my income tax here around the first of the month, I would like a sweet video card around 100.00 or so and get at least a 600W power supply. But for now, the order will go in tomorrow for those. Thanks schlup and I will keep you informed how it works once it arrives ....RUN

Yea on that motherboard I posted, I use the same one and it does only have one pcie slot but its Hybrid SLI, meaning it uses the onboard 8800gt along with the video card you are running in PCIe.....It works really well for me I am running the 9600gt OC edition in hybrid SLI

Don't buy a 500 watt power supply now if you are just gonna turn around and buy a 600 or 700 watt power supply in a couple months.  Just get the bigger one now otherwise you are just wasting money.

Yeah but you could probably find that tower without the power supply for much cheaper.  I'd at least look into it, normally they offer cases with and without power supplies.

Hello, I got the motherboard and processor and everything today, but unfortunately the processor did not come with a heat sink. If you could, could you get on newegg and help me pick out a heat sink that will work on this? Thanks again RUN

the motherboard is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131323&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

the processor is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103286&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

Any of the heatsinks will do the trick if you're not gonna overclock your chip.  Just make sure it is compatible with your socket type.

Hey. throwing my 2 cents in. umm idk how you feel about ATI. personally they have a bad spot for me...but here me out i guess to say.

newegg has a deal running... $280 for the ATI HD4870 (new 1 gig version) plus a 650w Antec power supply. running 65 Amps on i believe 2 rails.

by looking through i wasnt sure what all youve boughten...seen the CPU and mobo...but thats it.

it may seem a LIL steep. but it is ATI's top single GPU card. i personally just bought this combo...and lovin it....ati def didnt let me down with this card as they have before. but i couldnt pass up the deal...

but in your case it COULD save you money NOW and in the future....you would have a 650w powersupply with enough amperage to run high end cards. a top of the line video card. and you could find your case w/o the powersupply for cheaper, or a different one that is cheaper but still holds your eye. everythign to come from it...would save you money

here the link =]  http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.160410

You know Spyke, I'd like to see some benchmark results with that card.  Check out either the 3DMark Vantage or 3DMark06 forum topics and post some scores.

Very nice...I'd like to see more pictures though.  Especially with the plastic peeled off the side window.
