How many AWPs should we allow on Dust2 server?

Alright people, I have noticed that most of the time people vote to restrict the AWP...so I'm thinking that if we restrict it then we can get the server more populated but I want to get everyone's feelings on it first.

well a few awps maybe 1or2 per team would be ok, but the servers i cannot stand is where both teams are full of em and you cannot have as much fun IMO

Yeah, I hear that...it's all about learning new weapons.  I'm with Dtrain on the fact that it's no fun and takes away from the fun factor when there are two teams that are full of AWPs.

yeah i don't think we should restrict the awp coes i know schlup and sir-diealot love using the awp but i think we should be used head shots only and at very far range coes i get pinged by tham at close range all the time and you don't even have a fighting chance at close range its already hard enough with people "only" using ak and m4a1 with the ak deadly accuracy and damages and the m4a1 stealth and accuracy

yeah that's great Schlup but the other question is about the ak/m4a1 and like the awp its very unfair to all the other C:SS guns and the people that use than coes most of tham cant stand up to the ak/m4a1 and Meany of times i bean "snipered" by a ak or m4a1 but like all unfair weapons like the ak m4a1 or the awp is that everyone uses tham to the point that's its become a habit and my thinking on that on both the ak/m4a1 and the awp that we should give people more of a choice or tell tham theres more to just Css than ak/m4a1 or awps coes the way you said it "it's all about learning new weapons" it would be really cool that people start using other weapons and it would make it more funner too

While I understand where you're coming from it would be physically impossible to tell people they can only take headshots with the AWP or any other gun.  Plus, I don't know that I would agree with it either, what about all those noobs that play on the server that don't even know what a headshot is much less how to take them.  It would cater to the better player and that is not at all what we are about at BPN.  We're here to have fun period.  Haven't really gotten the amount of votes I was hoping for but will be discussing the results of the poll at the admin meeing none the less.

well how about this schlup we have a new server that's awps only that you enter at Ur own risk and have the two other servers awp free so both of can have what we all want or something

Why should we even have to do that? It is a part of the game and should not be removed let alone segregated. We shut down a few servers because we were not getting much participation and your idea would promote the same. Your whole "Head shot" only thing to be quite honest comes off very elitist imo and has no use in the game. A kill is a kill no matter where the shot hits, it was never intended to be a head shot only gun when the game was designed and should not be considered one now. At one time I was one who would complain about the AWP's because I was quite bad with them as many members here will tell you, but last Summer I just decided to do nothing but AWP until I got decent with it and that is what I did. Why should I be punished because some people are simply just to lazy to learn how to use one themselves? As for one of your other statements AWP's are not hard to beat if you know what you are doing and a team works together, or even solo when done right.

errrr sir-diealot no-one plays far nor to the fact that no-one plays much as a team anymore coes all people care abut is there rank and there scores and you say it fare for you to awp and make other peaple around you unhappy this is why this thread is made to make the bpn server fare and just for all player BY CRIKEY

After a discussion in the admin meeting this evening it has been decided to limit the AWP to (2) per team.  I will be working on implementing this over the next few days.

ok Ping first of all when I am on which is most every night except for night I just get way to bored on people are playing as a team. But when your on and you get frustrated like you are know your team that your on doesn't want to be as a whole unit till your dead in the game so they don't have to listen to the complianing bout oh people should use more then just awps m4a1 and ak47. There is nothing wrong with using any of them it is just the preffered weapon. if you want to get people going on the topmaps server so then you can stop making a fuss over awps cause it seems when two or more people are on a bpn server it get populated at the right time. Also in the topmaps server there are areas where it would be best to use a different close combat gun like p90 or w/e. So please stop complaining every time. Just go to another server and try practiceing there for a while that is what I did when I first got the game. Sorry if anyone got offended I just would like this conversasion to dropp yeah it is better to have a limit on awps then none (no awps) or no limit at all
