Thought I would start a thread for Black Friday purchases.  Luckily this year it fell on the day after my birthday which made it the perfect opportunity to buy myself some sweet birthday presents.  So he we go...

First off I purchased a new notebook computer for myself.  It's a Lenovo (IBM) Y560 that I found a great deal on so I snatched it up.  Below are the specs...
System components
Intel® Core™ i7-740QM Processor ( 2.93GHz 1333MHz 6MB )
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 1GB
8 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz
15.6" HD LED Glare 1366x768
Industry Standard Touchpad
500GB 7200RPM
DVD Recordable (Dual Layer)
6 Cell Lithium-Ion
Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 1000
Bluetooth Version 2.1 + EDR
Total: $899 + free shipping

Secondly I saw a great deal on a new monitor, it's an Acer 22" widescreen flatpanel with a native resolution of 1920x1080 (yeah, didn't know they made that resolution in that size either).  Picked it up for $99 + free shipping

Third, I'm a big fan of the HBO series Entourage, I've had season 1, 2, & 3 for a couple years now, found seasons 4, 5, & 6 at Best Buy for $9.99 each so I picked up those 3 seasons as well.

I had a pretty sweet birthday but I'm pretty sure my Christmas this year is going to put it to shame!

What did everybody else get or buy?

Those are some crazy good specs on that laptop, what was the original price?

I saw lots of tempting good deals, but i recently bought a new monitor(samsung 24" led 1080p, $200) and gran turismo 5, so i didnt really want to spend any more money.  Our local electronics superstore was selling Hitatchi 55" LCD's (120hz 1080p) for $800, i would have loved to snag one of those up 0_0

Original price was like $1600 on the laptop.  I saw a Mitsubishi 60" for I think $600...but it just isn't time to upgrade my TV yet so I didn't get it.  Plus I have a Sony 57" right now so when I upgrade I'm gonna need to go to like 70" or 72".  However, for those that are interested in that TV the info is below.

Dell Home has 60" Mitsubishi WD-60C10 1080p 3D-Ready DLP HDTV for $600 (or $582 w/ DPA) with free shipping after applying coupon code JL3MZ47LSRQQW9.

Yeah, I pulled a 12 hour shift from 4am to 4pm. I did get a laptop for my brother.

That's not half bad at all Arethius, it's got a graphics card in it be it a low end one, and the processor is single core but other than that it's a super awesome great deal!

Yeah, just keep in mind, it's not for me. My brother needed one and he is no where near the tech that I am.

I'd get the i7 970, it's 6 core and a really good deal considering it goes for around $850.  The SSD is out the window because that's about what you can buy it for, didn't look up the board but I'm sure you know if it's a crazy good deal or not.

Yeah, that and you have to have a special 3D monitor. You can take your pick of the following monitors...
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007617&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&SrchInDesc=3d&Page=1&PageSize=100

"3d" ready monitors have 2 input processors that display and render the different images in a special way for the 3d, which is why just a normal 120hz monitor wont work
