Not bad, a little too much content for me though.  Hey I noticed in your chat frame that it said your spell got deflected...does that happen often?  If so you could probably use some spell pen.

If you use Curse client you can download a lot of legal addons that will help your gaming out as well as make it simpler...even though it looks like my screen seems very busy.

I don't know the first thing about macros but i guess it's time to learn. there must be instructions on how to make, use & their purpose on wowwiki or wowhead. seems like i spend more time researching how to play this game than actually playing it! lol!!

I find it frustrating having to search non Blizzard sites to find information on what enchants to have, stats, what caps are, etc., when I think Blizzard should put this information out on their sites. But I do use WoW Wiki and WoW Head frequently!

    Attached is my Interface!

Griz 1st thing you want to do as a WoW player that a lot of new players make the mistake with is keybinds, you have to keybind everything because reaction time in this game matters and it makes dps or tank rotations a lot easier you can only go so far in wow just clicking.

I'm working on my keybindings now. i have a G11 keyboard that has 18 programmable keys x 3 profiles. that gives me 54 possible binds or macros if i ever learn to use them.  Undecided

Griz you shouldn't have to worry about setting up so many key binding, like creating macros and such things. Look at my layout for example. The skills I use most frequently are placed in 1-8 (The very bottom bar), which the first five are easy enough for me to use without having to look at the keyboard. If you look above the bottom bar, you will see skills with "s-1, s-2, s-3..." these are skills that I use while holding down Shift. But I really use just Shift-3 and Shift-4. All other skills I use with my mouse. I only have one skill macro which I created to turn on or off an ability for tanking. All other macros I use are for spamming trade or for finding my blockrating.

The only thing I use my keyboard for is moving around, forward, backward, turning left and right, etc.  I use my mouse for everything else, I click the buttons for everything I do, however I do use Healbot for healing which allows me to bind mouse keys to certain heals and I hold down ctrl + mouse button for certain secondary heals.  I typically have about 10 different heals bound to mouse buttons, once they are memorized I don't have to look down at all, just watching the health bars is the main thing.

But for my DPS spec, I individually click every single attack, nothing is bound.

Well guys, i'm pretty well limited to my mouse for movement as my left hand is crippled. i only have the use of 2 fingers but i'm able to use my 1 to 0 keys pretty efficiently for my bottom hotbar & my f-keys for the one above it. Using the wasd keys for movement is a lost cause for me. I'm usually pretty good at setting up my keys for different games but it takes me a while to get used to them. I'm sure i'll get a workable setup for both hands with u guys help. it'll just take me a bit to develope one for my needs.
Thanks a lot everyone for your advice.............Griz. Wink

The more you click the longer it will take you to do that move the more stuff you have keybinded the better reaction time and you maximize your global cooldowns and also if you click you will keyboard turn which is another bad thing.

Its when you click your buttons and cant look with your mouse so the only way to look to your sides is by turning with your keyboard.

I see. I've never encountered that situation. Anyway, can anyone recommend a 3rd party interface thats better than wow's default? Maybe something from curse? Also, i'm having trouble finding quests atm. is there a quest locator available? i need to decide on an ui & whatever other customs i'm gonna install before i worry about keybindings. i'm only lvl 15 & haven't even run a dungeon yet so i'm pretty well useless to a party. I use the default UI, the problem with 3rd party UI's is that they are buggy most of the time, and those bugs seem to pop up at the worst possible times.

P.S. I think Xtricity is trying to say that my game play style is very bad, are you saying that I could do more HPS or DPS if I do macros and binds?

I am not saying your play style is bad i am saying not playing with keybinds puts a lot more limitations to your play style and in your case no it wont affect your healing because you use healbot and all you have to do it click on people name on a a little grid and that's how most healers heal in raids anyways they just look at people with low health in their designated group or whatever they gotta do and they heal the little square that start going down, but damage yes it does because every move has a global cooldown and if you click it you wont utilize how much faster you can spam a key than click it and if you don't believe it just look it up you will find it anywhere that clicking in WoW is not a good thing specially in pvp.

And if you click this is what happens while you are trying to run you are slower because you have to turn around by keyboard turning
    Small | Large

And this is a max dps video that you guys should watch it will explain things  better and notice how he also says that clicking is not the way.
    Small | Large

And here is one about the clicking.

I don't play anymore, this video is going on 2 years old.  It was pre-ulduar, so our dps would be low compared to whatever people do today, which would explain why it took so long.  It is also the 10man version, which is a bit more difficult to do 3 drakes compared to the 25man.  We also had a voidwalker main tank on sarth, which added some more difficulty into the mix.  This actually made our guild famous (in our minds anyway  Wink ) when we made the front page of wowinsider.com http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/02/14/voidwalker-tanks-sartharion-10-with-three-drakes/

Wow, that's pretty impressive!  I didn't realize you had a warlock pet tank the main raid boss!  I was in a pug dungeon group the other day and the tank made a bad pull and wiped the group, so we told him about it and he started QQ, we had a hunter in the group that said my pet can tank better than you, tank said go ahead, after we downed a few more mobs with the pet tanking we had the pet tank the final dungeon boss while the tank just stood in the back and did nothing, we downed the boss with the pet and it was actually easier to keep up than the tank (who was fairly well geared).  After the tank was put in his place I'm pretty sure he immediately logged out and uninstalled the game...lol.

Lesson: Cockyness and having a hard head will get you no where.

OS is short for The Obsidium Sanctum which was a raid in Wrath of the Lich King expansion where you could do 3dzerg. There are 3 mini bosses and 1 actual boss. The 3 mini bosses are drakes, this is where you get 3D. The Zerg stands for: skip the 3 drakes and just do the main boss, which makes it hard mode.

Zerg is also a race in the popular real time strategy game, StarCraft. Zerg are able to make many low costing units at a fast rate, which you usually got rushed by these units killing you 5 mins into the game. So to zerg something usually means to rush something.

    Thanks...............Griz.

My Player and raid frames are an addon called Xperl, which allows you to resize, relocate, refont, and basically any customization you want to your basic party/player/target frames.
My spell bars are an addon called Bartender, which again allows you to resize and relocate spells wherever and however you want.
My scrolling combat text is called MikScrollingBattleText (MSBT for short)  which makes damage and healing info a bit easier to see than blizzards default scrolling numbers.
I have something called OmniCC, which adds text to your spell buttons to tell you how much longer their cooldown is, instead of having to guess from the shaded clockwise scrolly thing.
My cast bar mod is called Quartz, which is pretty useful if your a caster of any kind.
Theres probably more that I'm forgetting, but i think i covered all the important ones.

I've added and removed addons over the course of 2-3 years, and that video just shows the end result.  Between different character classes, raiding, and learning more about the game, i tried out different ui's and addons until i found what suited me best.
