Just throwing this out there but from what I remember my friends saying that are really into this is you have to be really experiences to fly the multi-engine planes because of the way each engine pulls separately. If you for go that route you may want to get someone that has been flying them for a long time to run a "dummy box" where s/he would take it off and land it at first foe you and you would fly it in air and if you get in trouble s/he could flip a switch and take over for you so you don't wreck your plane. Just an idea. Most areas have an RC club so you may want to get in touch with them and talk with a few members as well.

On a side note every time I see an RC plane I can't help to think of an episode of Magnum P.I. where Magnum is awaken by the sound of Higgins flying an RC Plane and goes outside and shoots it down with a 12 gauge and then goes back to bed. Very Funny.

The 1st video was crazy, and the AC-130 was ridiculous big, but they aren't as pro as sniper here who attaches a camera on the plane so we don't have to watch this kind of videos.  Azn

its hard for me to say I'm not really into this stuff though it is cool

I'm guessing the more engines the harder to maintain but I'm not really sure

but id say the c-130 is awesome

MY guess is all the different engines pulling differently is what makes these harder to control.

As long as you got the carburetors set the same so each engine gives the same amount of power you'll be fine. The BIG problem comes if an engine dies but the other still goes then you have to figure out, rather quickly, to use rudder and fly it down only that way, if you use your ailerons and roll the plane it could go into a death spiral, but you need a good amount of airspace and practice to do that. Or just kill the other engine and glide it down. Again can be problematic if you won't have enough speed to get the plane to the landing area and have to do an off site landing, aka blind landing and who knows what's in the area.
