lol Griz everything I have seen and read says I am right. Better FPS, better colors and better shadows. I have seen top end ATI's set right next to the identical computer but with a top of the line Nvidijunk in it and the ATI looked so much better even the guy with the Nvidijunk in his said the ATI looked better as did everyone else in the room. The just to be sure they switched monitors and the same thing. the guy with the Nvidijunk returned his card and got an ATI

On that note I picked up a EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 448 core superclocked classified today, and got it installed. It should hold me over until the GTX 690 is released.

A problem with ATI that I have noticed is their drivers. Most recently, my friend got the 7970 and got it installed. But the drivers for some odd reason scale down his screen size so there are black borders around his screen. But when he goes to remove the scaling, his computer will stay on after pressing "Shutdown". Windows goes through the whole shutdown process and the screen goes blank, but the computer stays on. When he sets the scaling to the default black borders around the screen his computer shuts off just fine!
PS: I don't like how ATI puts inappropriate women on the the graphics card box!
Here is my friend's new computer:

There are no such things as two *identical* computers. They will present different performance stats at some random point. It's just inevitable. Heh, heh, heh.

Grill that is a known problem when hooking up through HDMI if you use DVI there is no problem. This is from newegg AMD's drivers for HDMI are HORRIBLE. Absolutely, unbelievably, stupidly awful. If you use HDMI, Catalyst Control Center will default to enabling "underscan" which will cause your nice 1080p resolution to not fill up your monitor screen. You can fix this for the desktop easily, but for some games (for me - Crysis) there is no apparent fix, as the setting will not "stick" and you are stuck with black boxes around your screen and a blurry, underscaled picture. This is the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen, but it is AMD's problem and not specific to this card, so I'm not docking an egg. The only solution I found was to just use DVI.

Evry company in the world has had a driver issue at one time or another, ATI at least fixes theirs.
