I am having to sign into sites between 10-15 times a day as I bop from site to site. I am running firefox as my browser. Thank you in advance for any help given.

You might have disabled cookies.  You need to have cookies turned on...they are what saves info about websites such as login information.

Not sure, I don't really use firefox at all or else I'd be able to tell you.  You could probably google search your question and figure it out fairly easily.

Click "Tools", go to "Options", click the "Privacy" tab there is a section on cookies.

Make sure both check boxes are checked ( Accept Cookies From Sites & Accept Third-Party Cookies), and the drop down "Keep Until" says "They Expire".

It remembers the passwords but won't keep me signed into anything.

If it remembers your passwords and logins, I would think that it has more to do with the website than any settings on your side.

Why don't you uninstall your firefox and then go and download a new version and install it...that or just start using a good web browser...Internet Explorer 8 or Google Chrome

Firefox 3 is good, is actually faster responding than IE 8...

(I have both and tested both.)

Most sites I including this on load 3 times faster with Firefox than with any other. Anything with a lot of graphics and IE sucks.

My advice would be to try IE8, FF3, and Google Chrome and see if you have the problem with all of the different browsers.

What about IE8? What kind of security software are you running...virus scan, spyware blocker, etc.  If it's not your browser something in your security software is most likely clearing your cookies...or blocking them all together.

I don't use either so I don't know where to tell you to look, but you should look in both of them and look for cookie settings.

*cough*Yourgiantflashingone*cough*

AVG doesn't block cookies unless you manually tell it to, (no offense) but you don't seem like the kinda guy to know how to change that...

And I don't know jack about Spybot...

No offense taken. I am the kind of guy that knows how to change that and other settings, and I did. I am not however the kind of guy that had any clue as to what he was doing. laugh It is set back to default now and is remembering passwords once again. Thanks for all the help everyone.
