If anyone knows, does CoD4 only work on 32bit vista?

Well it works great on Vista x64 so I'm positive it will work great on Vista x32.  By the way, there is a glitch with CoD4 on Windows 7 x64.  Maybe they'll fix it by release date.

P.S. CoD5 works great on Windows 7 x64.

Cause for some reason, the vista machine in the house isn't reading the disc, at all, as if it was blank, but with data on it...

Update your chipset drivers and if your PC has an intel based chipset for SATA as well, you will want to download and run the Intel Matrix Storage Driver software.

I had the same problem with my motherboard until I did that.

Turns out the drive is all wierded up...

It will read CD's and DvD's, and how much space they hold, but it won't read what's on them...

You should be able to get a new DVD writer on newegg for like $25 bucks or so.  Actually, if you need an IDE one, I just bought a brand new one that is IDE for like $30 (Sony I think)...I'll sell it for $20 shipped...cause I need to get a SATA drive.

I'll talk to my mother and see what she wants to do, since it is her computer...

But I'll say yes for now, since I'm not really sure what she wants to do about it...
