Few questions for those who use Fraps.

    1) It won't record the entire time I wan t it to record.  I played a whole round last night and gout about 70 seconds worth of film.  I do not have the trial version either.

    2) It crashed CodW@W a few minutes after I stopped recording.  Anyone know why?  All I had was COD, Fraps, and TS running.

    3) I have the FPS at 50, otherwise my game play will be choppy.  Any recommendations?

I have the full version of Fraps too. I know recording at 30FPS is annoying, but it may be the only option. The higher FPS probably puts more stress on the CPU, which can lead to a crap video. I'll try it too and see what happens.

Here are the results after testing:

    Recording at 50 FPS:
I was able to record lengthy videos. While recording at 50 FPS, it takes 1 core up. Then add your other processes, it adds up to around 1.5-2.5 cores needed to run without getting choppy. Some other problems you will run into include your recorded video to look like it's in slow motion. Think of the show Time Warped. You are recording more frames a second, which records more. So it looks like it is in slow motion. You sound will be off timed too.

    Recording at 30 FPS:
This is what movies are played back in, and looks normal to the human eye. 30 FPS takes 1-2 cores up final. Sound is on time.

Now I know playing at 30 FPS sucks, but it's the only way to go if you want your video to look normal when you watch it.

Wait, so you can't set FRAPS to just record at a certain FPS...you have to actually lower your FPS in game?  So I couldn't record at 120 FPS?

No. In FRAPS, you can set it to whatever you want. Your game will just look like it's in slow motion when you watch the video. Lol, I may try that. Maybe I'll be able to see the bullets.

I tried to recording at 1000 FPS and 9999 FPS. It will record it, but I think it only records the maximum FPS your computer can generate.
