Ok people, I have seen some of the issues you are talking about.  So if you are seeing some wierd issues with the stats take good notes and post it to the developers here:
http://xlr8or.snt.utwente.nl/forum/index.php?board=19.0

They can look into it alot better than me and hopefully fix the issues for you and everyone else.

Thanks,
Schlup

so the stats made a bit of a clean up over the last several days, bifteak was no longer the #1 and everything was running more realistic. but now it reverted to the old stats tally of more than a week ago. so bifteak is back and all the numbers changed a bit too. is there another stats system that we can run? this system is horrible and unreliable, i would pitch in if not pay for the whole thing if it ran correctly.

Ok, so here's the deal, we used to run another stats program but it was bad too.  I have done research and there are only 2 viable stats programs for CoD5.  The one we used to run and the one we run now.  The old one was bad because it didn't have automatic updating of stats and you could not set it to automatically run either.  So it only got updated like once a week, because when you did run that stats program and it began to parse through the actual stats it would max out all resources for 30+ minutes.  Which means the whole website was down while it was running, since the parser was not well written.  Not to mention that it wasn't very accurate either...it's a bug in the CoD5 game engine.  So I made a change in the backend of our current stats program that should eliminate players that haven't played in the last 7 days.  I'm up for suggestions though...we could dump the database once a week which would maybe keep everything smaller and a little more accurate.  What do you think?

once a week is a little often, maybe once a month, but just a 7 day cleanup of non-players may do it. if we do it once a month we could list the top 5 or 10 on the website too. just an idea.

all of this may be moot after 11/10/09 . . .

fyi - the ratio leader "j00h" is no longer listed . . .the system just needs more r&d that it prolly wont get after mw2.

It's not the stats system, the actual game and the game engine are what is causing the problems.  On the flip side, we have so many players I don't think we have even gone a full month with this one yet.  We can discuss it at the all hands meeting on Monday night.
