DARK NEEDS HELP

Ok so I have a laptop that doesnt want to work and was wondering how to format the hard drives so that I can reinstal the operating system. So If anyone knows how I would be really appretate it. Thanks

Usually when I want to reformat and install an OS from fresh, I would place the install cd in the drive, reboot and boot from the CD.  It should give you the option to format the drive using x amount of partitions.  I always go with one partition.  It will wipe the drive clean and install the OS.

Yeah, you can do it Yanks way.  If you want to do it from command line then enter "Format C:" from the prefix of C:\Windows 

So it should look like...

C:\Windows>Format C:

or if you want to do a quick format then...

C:\Windows>Format C: /Q

That I don't know...you are the only one that is going to know that.  Honestly the easiest way is the way that Yank posted.
