Hey BPN, now at first glance you may think this is the exact same level of Modern Warfare 2 to the one shown at E3. However if you look closer you can see that it's been developed quite a bit since then. Take a look at the footage and some analysis will follow below.
Analysis1. Right first up, Soap's voice as changed into a Scottish accent. Infinity Ward stated after E3, Soap's voice was only temporary in the original demo shown. So a Scottish accent now would seem much more fitting for Soap seeing that his surname is 'MacTavish' - a traditional Scottish name.
2. Much more blood. Without sounding too cannibalistic, the blood on screen does seem much more juicier. Compared to the previous Modern Warfare and the E3 demo, it looks much more detailed and sharper.
3. On-screen waypoints. There is now indicaters on the actually gameplay screen telling us where to go. Not only this but it tells you the exact distance to that certain objective, very simlilar to Killzone 2's method of directing the player. As we can't see the bottom of the screen (as it was filmed secretly) it is difficult to know whether there will be a compase in the bottom corner. Still though, this on-screen waypoints thing is looking very impressive.
4. Carrying on from the last point, above Soap's head there is instructions on what to do regarding that specific character. In this footage you can clearly see 'follow' and 'cover.' Other possible words for this could include; 'stay,' 'supress' and 'crouch.'
5. Finally at 1:07 'Roach' throws a grenade. It's hard to tell but the grenade did look much more detailed and is it just me or does the grenade not go as far as it would have done in CoD4? Please me know below what you think about this and everything else which I've mentioned above.
