For my one class I have to use a Mac. For the first 3mins I was lost, but then found out quickly how to use it a bit. Very different from a PC. For example, the taskbar is at the top and to exit out of something it is on the left. WEIRD!

So you are saying that Macs are better than PC's?  I'm gonna have to disagree with you Grill.  PC's are not proprietary so you can exchange out parts without having to pay an arm and a leg, also while I'm on that point Macs are grossly over priced for what they are across the board.  Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad for graphics designers but they lack in every other catagory!

No, not at all. My post got all weird so if you look at it again you will understand. I DON'T like Macs. PCs are way better. And plus, the Mac I was working on started to run dirt slow. After every third letter I typed it had to load. Mac = Rocktrash. People say Macs are better for Photoshop and whatever, but I disagree. The OS isn't the problem, IT IS THE HARDWARE! Photoshop would run great on mine and your PC, Schlup.

I know a couple of people who are developers and prefer macs for their own personal use.  When I was in art school, I used mainly PC because I did mostly 3D or CADD stuff.  But, my friends and rommates used Macs mostly.  I had another friend who did both print and 3D work and he didn't really prefer one over the other.

I don't know if it's still the case, but Macs used to have a lot more software and even hardware available if you wanted to run a more professional audio recording set up.
